Terrible place do not rent here. I am an international student, and I was EXTREMELY disrespected and lied to in all aspects. First, a lot of good reviews here look fake, and there are way more 1-star reviews here than 5-star. Customers here are treated as just another number because they lie and manipulate to get what they want. Read this before deciding to rent this apartment: My experiences summarized: -Arrived here and they lied, saying that we could choose our apartment units once we moved in and when renewing the contract. After one year, when I went to renew the contract and change to another apartment, the manager was rude and told me it had never been said, and that they had chosen the apartment you would move into for you without being able to tell you the number or location!!! They could only tell you that once they gave you the keys. I had to go to the new apartment by luck, without being able to choose where. Apart from that, I have pet allergies, and the manager did not tell me that there was a cat in the new apartment before I asked her to be SURE the apartment was clean because according to her, she could not reveal this information because my roomate had an emotional support animal, and told me I was being unconsiderate with my roomate-WHAT?- as it is not my right to complain about allergies. So she used emotional manipulation and told me the roommate was suffering in the previous apartment, and if I did not accept her, she would move anyone to live with me without considering my preferences(even though when I moved in they promised to follow my preferences about no smoking or pets since I am allergic). Apart from that, when I moved into my new apartment, I had a pretty serious mosquito issue, and they said maintenance would come to address it. I spent 4 months with trash flies inside the place, and the maintenance would come and clean the air conditioner and would close my maintenance request. I swallowed one fly; it was a nightmare. They would tell me they would make a pest control request, but the problem WAS NOT SOLVED until I bought a tape and put it into the windows and solved it myself. I am pretty clean and organized, and this felt like a horror story to live. Once I complained to the management, they would say the same and not solve the problem. - Another thing, when I arrived here, I was being charged by the front office staff 50$ every time to open my door because they would not give me an extra key or let me do one. After some months, other staff members would open my door without charging me, which made me think they had initially been stealing my money. Apart from that, they offered me a $1,000 gift card to rent with them that, in theory, arrived, but I was never able to use it because it appeared invalid for me. -Other situation that occurs, as seen in many testimonies here, is that not just the staff is rude and maintenance slow, but they will have fire alarms playing at night for hours every month, usually because of old maintenance of the building or because it is broken -The elevator is constantly BROKEN, and I had a sprained ankle and had to climb a ramp of the garage, because the elevator was broken for 3 months before I moved out. - Everything you do in the living room, you and your roommate will be responsible for. So if your roommate has a pet and destroys the sofa and you don't, if the roommate does not sign a paper saying she is responsible, you are going to be charged for it. - The problem with cleaning is real. Bad smell coming from trash cans and poops all around the hall without cleaning for weeks. - One day I was arriving from a trip full of bags and I had to take my keys in the front office to my new apartment. I almost had to sleep on the street because I told them I was 10 minutes away, and they said the office was closing in 5 minutes, so if I was there even one minute late, they wouldn't let me in. To finish it, once I was moving out, they told me I should fill out a moving out form to send new deliveries to my new address, and that did not happen. Choose wisely.

I have stayed here for my last two years of college, the ease to walk to campus was my biggest reason for moving here but i didn’t know what else would come with it. First off fire alarms go off at least once a month and not at normal times, it mostly starts at midnight and will go off until 2 am which isn’t good when you need to wake up for an 8 am class. Second, any problem you have that’s needs the maintenance team will probably take a week to be fixed since everything is always breaking. When my air conditioning broke and didn’t blow any cold air it took 2 nights of sleeping in an 85 degree apt before i was given a window unit. Another problem is that the wifi is splotchy, most of the time it works great but then you’ll have a week of back and forth of no wifi. While this isn’t the biggest problem it makes it annoying when you have assignments you need to work on and you can’t at your home. Finally, all the amenities that are advertised never work. The pool is always gross and most of the time it isn’t able to be used. The gym is super small so you can’t have more than 6 people in there, and most of there treadmills and other electronic equipment doesn’t work. I would be careful signing with this apartment complex because it looks good but for the price a month, which for me and one other roommate at about $950 a month, is totally unreasonable for what you get. Do your research because all the apt complexes near campus will screw you and there isn’t a thing you’ll be able to do about it. Also after going over everything i forgot to mention that my bike was stolen after someone snipped my lock in front of a camera and their mangers wouldn’t cooperate with the police to find who did it. Another thing is the people they have at the front desk are people who live there and also know the problems but can’t back out of working at the front desk because management will then kick them out of their lease. Hoped this helped

Do not live here, this is the worst student apartment complex in all of Overton. Management lacks any sense of urgency towards major issues. There is consistent leaks through the roof, elevators have not worked for the last 3-4 years as far as I'm concerned. As well as car theft and break-ins happening in the garage that have not been resolved, They have claimed to hire security but it is only on the weekends, and they've contracted one of the worst security companies available in lubbock. They also claimed to have renovated the units but barely any of them have been renovated. All infrastructure repairs that have been long overdue on this building are simply being managed instead of resolved. Save your time and get a different apartment, the distance this building has to campus is simply not enough of a trade off for every other inconvenience you'll have to deal with if you decide to make the mistake of living here. You've been warned.

If i could leave 0 stars, i would. Security is a joke. Several of the doors do not work and anyone can get in the building and as i am writing, the fire alarm is going off for no reason. Not even sure who to call because it is 5am and the office is closed. Will be moving out asap and i do NOT recommend

I've lived here for nearly 3 years. The elevators have been in and out of service for months. My A/C has also been in and out of service during the hottest parts of the summer. Their response was to put crappy portable A/C units that do not work. I only still live here out of necessity as there was nowhere else to go.
