DO NOT LIVE HERE! I usually never write reviews, but the landlord here is the WORST! They just want your money. Also I lived in Larry’s building! Larry manages B and C. I know Buildings A, D, and E have a different manager, and I have heard more positive experiences about them. My father and I spent almost 4 hours deep cleaning my apartment! It was spotless! I left that apartment way better than the condition I moved into it in. They will find a single speck of dust and they will assume you didn’t clean. Also they have mid year cleaning checks. Everyone fails. My roommates and I cleaned for hours the night before. We still failed. Why do a cleaning check if you fail everyone? Every tenant I have talked to has never received their full deposit back. I know some have received nothing back. I asked Larry if we could discuss the areas that were marked deficient on my check out packet, and he refused to talk to me until the new residents were moved in. He sent me the rudest and most unprofessional email I have ever received from a manager. I was also charged for damage I was not responsible for. Extremely rude and unhelpful management. I know their prices have increased by a lot. They just want your money. They love scamming college kids. Don’t live here. The only pro is you have your own room and bathroom. It isn’t worth it.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! If i could give this place 0 stars i would. The managers tried to scam us out of money any chance they got. The fridge was always breaking, the lights were always out and never on because they were flickering or just out, and we were constantly just having problem after problem. The managers were always looking for a reason to come into our apartment and do an “inspection” when really they were just looking for a reason to check if we had done anything. The parking passes also cost my roommates $300 and it’s double parking too so it’s harder if someone parked on your spot. The washer and dryer was absolutely terrible and never dried any of your clothes. Speaking of horrible, the bathtubs were worse because they never drained properly and it clogged all the time. It seemed like we texted management every other week to come take a look at another problem that we had. And also at the mid-semester cleaning check they will just fail you if you clean enough even though our apartment spent 2 hours cleaning and making it look good. DO NOT LIVE HERE THEY WILL SCAM YOU AND MAKE YOUR LIFE MISERABLE!!!!

The important thing that you need to know before you look into these apartments is that they are divided up under two managers: Apartments A,D,& E (Patti), and Apartments B and C (Larry). I lived in one of Larry's Brentwood apartments from Fall 2022 to Spring 2023, and I've lived in Patti's from Summer 2023 to the present. They have a great location right next to campus and is pretty close to a campus bus stop. Below, I'll detail what you need to know about each one. In short, they are great apartments, but both managers have flaws that are important to be aware of before moving in. Personally, I have enjoyed my experience much more at Patti's apartments compared to Larry's, but it could vary based on the preference of the resident. Larry (Apt B & C): Each of these apartments houses six people (two shared rooms, two single rooms). You can tell that they are meant to hold only four people because having six people in each of these apartments feels very crammed. There's not enough storage space in the kitchen, and if you're going to share a room, I definitely recommend sharing it with someone you already know because there isn't a ton of closet or bathroom space. There are only four parking passes for each apartment too (again because these apartments are only meant to hold four people), so two of the six residents are not able to park in the parking lot. He also does cleaning checks, which are the WORST. I'm a neat freak, and I typically like cleaning checks to encourage my roommates to keep the apartment clean, but these cleaning checks are over the top. Like, they'll take a black light to your baseboards to make sure they can't see a speck of dust. No matter how hard we cleaned, we never passed the cleaning checks (and from what I understand, no one does. They literally make it impossible - if you pass everything on their checklist, they'll find other things to fail you on. They also don't provide you with their checklist the first time). On the upside, he is typically pretty good when maintenance needs to be done (replacing light bulbs, fixing the washing machine, etc). Also, I did get the majority of my deposit back, but I basically spent a full twelve hours one day (during finals week) doing a heavy deep clean to make sure that I did get it. I would recommend Larry's apartments if you're in your first or second year of college, but any older than that is frustrating because he lowkey treats you like he is renting to children. Patti (A,D,E): Each of these apartments house four people (everyone gets their own room + bathroom), and it is like the PERFECT size. It doesn't feel crammed, but it also doesn't feel like we have any wasted space. The last time I checked, a single room in Patti's apartments is cheaper than a shared room in Larry's, so the price is definitely better here. Patti, for the most part, is very hands-off, which could be seen as a good thing or a bad thing. She doesn't do cleaning checks, and she doesn't constantly hover to make sure you're not destroying the apartment (in other words, she treats/trusts you like an adult because you are one). On the downside, when there is maintenance issues, it takes quite a while for them to get resolved. There is a maintenance guy who has his own timetable and takes his time to actually come to your apartment to fix the issue. Overall, I have loved living in Patti's apartments, and I am planning on staying here until I graduate. I would recommend them to anyone!

Don’t live here!! I had heard that they rip you off after you move out and it’s true. They charged me for damages that already existed and charged for cleaners to come in and sent me a list of things that made me “lose” my money. They told me I did NOT clean AT ALL, which is not true. I spent three days cleaning that apartment as meticulously as possible. I have never in my life as a renter failed cleaning checks or failed to get my full deposit. I called them to talk about it and fight for my deposit. Not helpful. Basically brushed me off and told me I have no proof that I didn’t damage anything or clean as well as I claimed I did. I also paid my rent on time and they charged me a $15 late fee. And they make you pay full rent for the semester at once. Not helpful as a student living paycheck to paycheck. Not worth living here, super unhelpful staff, they rip you off and then blame you for stealing your money

Trust me when I say, they will find any reason to take money from your deposit. My room was clean when I left it and I was still charged almost half of my deposit for cleaning. Not to mention that that’s what my room looked like when I moved in so I know that they aren’t paying to have the rooms cleaned with the money they take. You get a private bathroom which is cool and the summer rent is cheap, but those are literally the only perks to living here. There’s also always bugs in your apartment because they don’t spray for pests. If you can avoid it, don’t live here. Otherwise hire a professional cleaning crew when you move out otherwise they will take your money.
