This place is a joke and I recommend NOBODY STAY HERE. The front office staff is a whole bunch of college kids who don’t do their jobs and will not help you with anything. They will lie to you saying you don’t have to put Duke energy in your name just for the balance to build up to a point where they topple charges on my portal to save their butts from not doing their jobs. They’ll find every loophole they can in court to hold you accountable for their mess ups. There answers are not straight forward and the maintenance team is unprofessional and can’t even keep up with the maintenance request and it’s also kids who are this role as well. The parking here is a joke and they’ll charge your guest to come visit you. The grill is broken and security is a joke here as well and people cars get broken into here as well. Do not stay here and if you do read your leasing contract thoroughly because they’ll hold you accountable yet not do their jobs as listed on contract. They’ll also come up with any type of fee they can to accumulate revenue here. Worst apartment I ever stayed in and I’ve been here over a year. Pick another student housing apartment. This one is a joke. Deja Robinson is the only person you should talk to in front office, she the only one who has common sense and comes in to do her job.

Where do I even start. I’ve lived here for 3ish years and it’s slowly going downhill. When I first moved here things were fine the biggest issues were just the fact that no one picked up their dogs poop…ok big deal NOW?!?! With this new management….its getting stricter than a dorm! There was a shooting a few weeks ago and the solution? Install cameras? Nahhhh that’d make too much sense so their solution is to cut down the bushes 🧍🏾‍♀️which mind you they sent out 2 emails a day for like 2 weeks about it and it still hasn’t been done. Also we had LMS for booting cars but they started doing too much and after a while of having no parking restrictions they’re now getting a towing company. It’s mainly college students here and they’re going to be towing peoples cars. As for visitors? THEY NOW HAVE TO PAY TO PARK AND VISIT HERE?! $10 a day or $2 an hour like……it’s getting ridiculous. They just sent us an email saying now that we have to take everything out of the living room closet which is also large enough for our water heater because “too many people are putting their stuff on the water heater” SO NOW THEY’RE GOING TO LOCK UP EVERYONES CLOSET! With management changing like 2-3 times a year it’s hard to keep up but as of LATELY we go weeks to about 2 months without trash pick up so we’re always crossing our fingers that we don’t get roaches. The pictures of the trash was from January but I could go outside now and take pictures of the current trash outside cause there is ALWAYS trash overflowing outside now. The people that work in the office are great and do their best with all the complaints they get about the complex so big shout out to Tsu and Deja. But yea unless you’re down on your luck and can’t afford anything else don’t stay here!!

My experience with West Quad Apartments has been extremely disappointing. Management issued me a 24-hour termination notice and forced me to vacate, yet later turned around and reported thousands of dollars in charges to collections. Their paperwork is contradictory and sloppy — they terminated my lease, but then tried to pursue eviction after the fact. Instead of following proper legal process, they pushed an inflated balance to a debt collector. This type of treatment feels dishonest and predatory. If you value transparency, accountability, and fair housing practices, think carefully before signing a lease here.

I was supposed to rent an apartment here with a friend, but the experience was awful from start to finish. Since I’m from Charlotte, I couldn’t visit in person, so I relied on phone calls and emails but they refused to answer my calls or reply to any messages. I spent the entire summer working on my application and trying to get information from them, with zero response. On the day of move-in, my friend went to speak to them in person, and that’s when they told her I couldn’t move in because they were full. This was after I had been under the impression for months that I had a spot, based on information given to me by their own staff , which turned out to be wrong. Because of their complete lack of communication and last-minute notice, I was left scrambling to find housing right as classes were starting. I strongly do not recommend this place to anyone

Before moving in, I genuinely thought to myself, "it can't be as bad as the reviews say". Spoiler: It can. And it is worse than you think. Within 7 months of living in this apartment, I have had too many complaints to count on two hands. The appliances are falling apart. Our fridge had literal tape holding it together. There is trash everywhere, no recycling system, and a frequent overflow in the garbage bin. I moved in and there was no mattress or shower head. Our AC has broken twice, costing us over $600 a month (which we had to fight for MONTHS to get refunded). Our living room light leaked water in the middle of the night, causing me to slip and fall on the ground. Nobody responded to our emergency maintenance request until the next day, and we had to keep a nice bowl under the light to catch the water. 2 friends who live in the same complex have gotten their tires slashed. The complex did nothing to help. A few days ago, my bathroom ceiling started pouring water. The maintenance team came in, looked at it, told me to call if it happened again, and left. I used to be able to say, "at least we have free parking" as the only good thing about this complex. Now they are charging for parking, hourly and overnight.... It is almost comedic how much this place sucks! Do not live here. Please. For the sake of your mental health, pick anywhere else to live.
