I've really enjoyed renting from Bright Apartments. Interacting with management has generally gone very smoothly, with repairs happening quickly and politely. It was easy to lease a place here when moving from out of state. For two years they didn't raise my rent at all; the other years had raises that were pretty steep but basically in line with other properties that friends of mine live in. Management also worked with me on lease terms in a way that worked out very reasonably with minimal difficulty. The garden is nice but I wish the common areas were cleaner and the apartments were more cared for inside (in the sense that they're old and a little beat up). Still, it's cheaper than a lot of nearby newer places, so that's the trade off, rent is pretty reasonable for what/where it is. Overall I've been very happy here.

Park Knolls Bright Apartments I've been living here for almost 3 years now. I moved from the East Coast to Salem to start the second chapter of my life on the West Coast, and choosing this apartment complex was one of the best decisions I made. The location is perfect — right next to a grocery store, across from restaurants and pubs, plus a 7-Eleven and Walgreens nearby. The rental office is a quick walk away even though it's not in my building. It's quiet, the neighbors are fabulous, and the office staff — especially Mary — are phenomenal. Anytime I have a problem, I submit a ticket and it's solved immediately. I've never lived anywhere with maintenance this fast. My apartment itself is in great shape and honestly, this is one of the best places I've ever lived. Highly recommend.

Mary at the Salem office is super helpful and such a kind person. The Madrona Place property is also wonderful. 5 stars for Salem Bright!

Worth the read if you’re considering renting: PERSONAL AND HEALTH SAFETY ISSUES. Worst renting experience of our lives. I can’t begin to explain how horrible Rivertowne apartments in Eugene were. When we moved in there was a lot of damage, I took photos and notified management and I was okay being patient for a bit considering everyone is busy. Hole in bathroom wall, toilet seat broken, all window screen had holes to let bugs in. None of these were fixed and THEY CHARGED US FOR THESE DAMAGES WHEN WE MOVED OUT. Insane. It took 3 months to get the dishwasher fixed. An older gentleman came to fix the dishwasher and brought his 19 year old grandson. He tried initiating conversations between his grandson and I, suggesting we should go on a date. I was 30 and am married. Beyond inappropriate. Maintenance left our door unlocked multiple times. We had mold that was so bad and aggressive we had to throw away many clothing items. Bugs everywhere. Maybe the worst part: I fought them on the charges taken out of our deposit and they told me I must’ve doctored the photos from move in. Needless to say, your wellbeing is more important than low rent so if you are able to avoid this company, please do. This company is greedy and evil. No clue how they are still operating
