The Griff, columbus-oh

Do not live here. I currently live at The Griff but would GLADLY live somewhere else. I know it's cheap, but pay the extra money and enjoy where you live. The fire alarms would go off every so often and it would take the fire department 45+ minutes to get to us because of how many "false alarms" we had. Maintenance would enter your room even when you ask them not to on the form. Elevators were ALWASY BROKEN. It also smells and has weird stains throughout the property. They don't have a 24-hour line so if you need something past office hours, it was either calling 911 or waiting until the morning. They decided to make people pay for lot parking after not requiring it the first year. The door on the stairwell in the back has been broken for around 6 months, unsafe. They LOVE to do random water shutoffs and not inform anyone. I could go on and on, please do not live here, pay the extra $100/mo or whatever it is and live in a MUCH nicer place. Oh, and the AI bot is the worst thing in the world, the front office people have the time to answer the calls that come in i|I'm sure, the bot is unhelpful and just delays the process by minutes.

I have loved my time at The Griff! The apartments are cost-friendly, which is really hard to find in a city like Columbus. Additionally, the units are spacious and the staff is INCREDIBLE! Anytime I have had any issues or questions, they answer in a timely manner and always do so with a smile on their face.

I’ve been living at the Griff since August of 2023. Here’s what I’ve noted- I love the staff! They are always so friendly and never hesitate to say hello to my dogs or myself. They are very persistent on getting any issues fixed. I enjoy the amenities here. It’s very convenient having a gym on site that has several treadmills and free weights. The courtyard area is a wonderful spot for me to take my dogs each day. There is a pool, however, I was only able to use it twice this semester due to how early it closes in the season. I’m looking forward to using it again this Summer! The several study rooms in the building are up-kept well and always a pleasure to utilize. However, the printer provided for free use never has paper and ink in it. Our elevator has been down for 2 weeks, so being on the fourth floor has been very dreadful. They are waiting on a part for it, so I assume this issue should be resolved for future tenants and likely won’t happen again for a long time! The units themselves are unmatched. I love that the Griff is fully furnished; this makes the apartments ideal for out of towners as you can move in without hauling all of your unnecessary belongings. The square footage is great for what you pay in the area. Each unit comes with a couch, table, TV (with stand), kitchen space with lots of cabinets, huge pantry, washer and dryer, desk, drawers, walk-in closet, and a bed (including frame). There is also a valet trash service, meaning your trash can be placed outside of your door and will be picked up. This service has been rather inconsistent, but the staff is working with the outside service to fix operations. I’ve personally had a wonderful time living here. Despite having some issues now and then, the staff has been attentive and worked diligently. My puppies are loving growing up here, especially since they can interact with so many other dogs on a day-to-day basis. The drive to campus for classes and walks to Ohio Stadium for football games have all been very convenient. I’d recommend living at the Griff to any Ohio State student! I didn’t end up signing a lease due to a quick change in my employment plans, but I can’t say enough good things about the staff. They were extremely kind, responsive, and helpful—especially since I was searching from out of state. They took the time to provide thorough information and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free. I really appreciated their help.

I live in Griff for one year and they towed my car away without any warning. They damaged my car and then demanded that I pay for the towing fee. CASH ONLY. I asked them a month ago whether I needed to pay for parking fee or obtain a parking permit, and they told me the parking lot is free and nothing needed to do from you. ridiculous property management company. It happens more than one time that when I asked the employees terms and conditions it is A at today and B at tomorrow. Unexperienced employees. I never give comments online until I met THE GRIFF. I would give it zero stars if I could.
