Denice.com, columbia-mo

My son rented one of their apts. for MU over 2021-22. He loved the closeness to campus, as he is now way down south and hates it. In MY own dealings with Denice, we had a few issues getting the ACH set up, but she communicated well and was chill about it, so it was great. Apartment seemed nice, functional - etc. Was a bit weird at checkout, the tenants had to give stuff to new tenants, but it all worked out. Seem like pretty decent owners.

I lived in the Anthony street apartments for two years and loved it. Denice & Wendy are fantastic landlords and by far my best experience in my 5 years living in Columbia. Always very quick to respond to questions and maintenance requests. If you saw them driving or walking around East campus they would always wave and say hi. Overall very personable people and fantastic to rent from.

This apartment is great for college living. A little bit of close quarters and the walls are thin but besides that no complaints. Landlords are quick to respond to texts and maintenance occurs quickly and easily. The location of the apartments is great for MU students as you are about a 3-5 minute walk from campus. Landlords give out candy bags for residents on holidays as well which is a great bonus. Thanks Wendy and Denice.

My daughter is renting this apartment and is trying to sublease for the last couple of months. They have found gentlemen to sublease so then reached out to Wendy. Wendy responded she does not rent to "guys" and has become completely unavailable and will not assist them with subleasing after making that statement. As a mother, I have personally reached out to Wendy three times to discuss and no response. During their lease, they also had mice and spiders from the start, of which they were not quick to respond. The house is very cute but the management is very unprofessional and apparently discriminates based on gender. I'm certain that is not legal so if you are male, I'm pretty certain you won't be approved to rent. That really needs to be addressed.

I am residing in the Ashley Park apartments and I’ve been contacting management via phone for a month. As a tenant who is paying rent I find it ridiculous that management is deliberately ignoring my messages (messages have been sent to a group message chat to my unit members regarding carpet cleaning), but no response has been given to me. I feel as a tenant having contact with management to address concerns and questions is important and should not be so easily disregarded. In my messages I have inquired about setting a date to meet up with management and I was given no response for a month until my Dad stepped in a called her himself. Regardless of this response I have still been ignored about my questions and Wendy has been completely ignoring my request to set up an appointment. This is unacceptable on managements part for I feel like I have been very accommodating/considerate in my messages. The apartments themselves are nice, but the management has been uncooperative in communication with their tenants.
