Central House Columbia, columbia-mo

I have lived at central house for 2 years and I absolutely love it! The shuttle service is very helpful, as campus parking is a nightmare. It is almost always on time and runs on a convenient schedule. My room is big and can fit all my additional furniture including a bookshelf and piano keyboard. My living room is also roomy and perfect for hosting small events. I also really enjoy the amenities they offer: the study room is great for my concentration and the pool is super fun in the summer. If you are a Mizzou student and looking for off-campus housing, I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Quickest maintenance staff. People in the clubhouse are amazing and so welcoming. I've loved living at central house so far and I couldn't have asked for a better college apartment experience! I love the little space that my roommates and I have made our home.

I live here currently (2022-2023) and lived here two years ago (2020-2021) - so much has changed in that time! I ADORE the front desk staff and our maintenance crew (Tony & Chuck) - they know my husband and I by name and are kind and quick to respond to concerns. The grounds are well kept and the amenities have all been recently updated. The apartment itself could use some updating, but for the lowest student two bedroom price in Columbia, I can’t really complain. Thankful for the new couches and chairs this year, and very happy with how easy it was to get my ESA (cat) approved.

Yes, yes, yes!! Everyone should live here. This is our second year living here. We have a 3 bedroom 3 bath we all love our own space with a huge closet!! As a girl with lots of clothes I was in love!! Paying rent is easy as well as our utilities. The stay are always so much fun and so helpful!! This is the best place to live. It has such great amenities for a wonderful price. The only issue that needs to be resolved, is the shuttle situation, as some people have gotten, turned away because they have a small, temporary shuttle that is shared with Canvas townhomes. They are also a lot busier this year, so I feel like a lot of the amenities are more crowded than last year. However I have recommended Central house to my other classmates, and peers! Everyone should be a Central House resident!!!

Do not rent here what so ever. I have lived here for 3 years and never had any issues until this year when I got these 2 new roommates and I have had nothing but issues. I have documented everything and still do. I have reached out to management multiple times about my roommates and she continues to do nothing about it. I recently had the same issue happen again with my roommates doing things that are against the lease after getting a “warning” by management and the manager said to let her know if it happens again then she will take further action well it happened again and she said she would get in touch with me but did she nope not a word, she promotes bad behavior, all she cares about is the money not the tenants. This manager knows I’m not comfortable or okay with what these two roommates are doing. It has affected me. The manager doesn’t care that I have told her repeatedly that I do not feel comfortable living with these two roommates; I don’t want to be around them at all, be home when they’re there. I feel secluded in my own room, can’t use the main fridge cause of them not sharing it equally so now I have a fridge in my room, I don’t feel comfortable even being out in the common area. The manager doesn’t care about your comfort, safety, peace of mind, she calls you a liar when you didn’t lie about anything. There is so much more I can put on here. The only thing and I mean the only thing good about this place is the maintenance crew. ***UPDATE Below*** Been moved out since December 2023 and turned in my keys in December and cleaned my bedspace, took pictures of everything so I would have proof of how I left it and pictures of me giving keys to office and had an ad out trying to find a relet and had one and paid the $350 relet fee that they told me I would get credited back to me if it fell through or decided not to relet but then that relet person fell through and was unable to find another one and I have yet to receive my money back and my lease ended July 31,2024 and August 9th 2024 they decided to charge me $270.00 in supposed “damages” that I didn’t do and have proof and disputed the charges and told them just take $270 out of the $350 for these “damages” and give me back $80 of the remaining balance and was nice about it and didn’t want to argue I just want to move on but yet still have yet to hear back from them about giving my money back but yet they will keep emailing or texting me asking for their money that I don’t owe them when they actually owe ME and they just say the same thing “I’ll consult my team and I’ll update you soon” well you said that twice now and nothings been done and continue to get my dispute ignored. I don’t owe any money to them at all and I know how I left my apartment and the work I spent cleaning it making sure that it was clean and looked exactly how it did when I moved in.
