This apartment complex uses Flock cameras at every entrance and exit that scan your license plate and share them with Flock’s nationwide surveillance network. My concern is not the presence of cameras themselves, but that Flock is part of a nationwide surveillance network that aggregates license-plate data and shares it broadly with law enforcement agencies, often without warrants or clear oversight. This creates privacy risks for residents and visitors that go beyond standard on-site security. Prospective tenants who value privacy should be aware of this policy before signing a lease.

I've had an absolutely awesome experience making Goodnight Commons my home. The office team was fantastic to work with despite them being short handed, which to be fair, is common issue with many apartments in Austin. With that in mind, it's best to schedule a tour and/or contact them via their website for more information. Trust me, they're a great team w/ new management and working very hard. They'll get in touch with you! Come prepared and you'll fly through the whole process! My apartment hunt took place over 3 months, I was on 4 different waiting lists at other properties and goodnight commons was one of the first apartments to contact me right after I reached out to them. So, communication was great in my opinion. I had my application processed within 3 days and I moved in pretty much immediately. I've been here for a couple weeks now and have had 1 maintenance issue that was professionally addressed in a very timely manner. I recommend checking this place out. Download the application online (link top right on their website), you can digitally fill it out with a PDF editor and print it on legal paper. Just know, it's an income restricted property, and you'll need a money order for the application fee, and another once accepted to provide the first month of rent. Here some more tidbits of info not easily found. Amazon HUB lockers located near front office are awesome! Im new to these apartment hub locker things and didn't know they accept deliveries from all carriers and retailers in most cases! Once you're in the system, you'll get text/email alerts when packages are dropped off, and a code to unlock your locker. Home Internet is AT&T Fiber, which has been fantastic. My 1 bedroom has the fiber drop in the bedroom closet. There is no network cabinet area, so you're internet / home network equipment will take up some closet space. I have three CAT6 ethernet plugs through-out the apartment. Only one of my plugs in the closet were properly terminated, the other two cables are just loose in the wall with no RJ45 plugs on the end. So i need to get the other two cables terminated properly which i'll do myself. Im being a picky tech nerd, so if you're just gonna use wifi instead of hardline, its no problem. In unit Washer/Dryer area fits full sized machines and are all electric. Tankless water heater means never running out of hot water! Only side effect is slightly higher natural gas usage compared to your typical water heater tank style. Natural Gas supplied by CenterPoint Energy. The kitchen doesn't really have a dedicated pantry per say, but there is a generous amount of cabinets for dry food storage. There's plenty of room, so you could supply your own kitchen island cart with seating and extra storage to remedy that issue. I'll update this in the future UPDATE 2+ years later From the very beginning two years ago, the team have been absolutely fantastic to me. I always feel like they have my back when I need something from them and it'll be handled in a professional manner. Chill neighbors and the Onion Creek Metro park nearby with miles of connecting trails to explore is great for me. Not to mention the growing list of great local businesses in this growing area.

Kimberly Duque assisted me with a unit tour of the apartments and constantly showed professionalism and excellent customer service. She was very warm and welcoming which convinced me right away. Kimberly was very detailed oriented and made sure that every question I had was answered thoroughly. Overall I am very impressed and happy about the service I was provided by her.
