Rated this accommodation four stars as they are making improvements and moving forwards. Daughter stayed here in her final year. Location very good for the uni, staff very friendly and the new gym and social area is great (although only completed approx 4 months ago). Daughter had major issues at the beginning of her tenancy. Toilet flush constantly running water, one of the two hobs not working and kept tripping electric, heating not working (apparently!), No signal for TV...these were all issues found on day 1 of moving in!! Two light bulbs soon went out in first few weeks and so daughter was left with one! Maintenance issues did take some time to be resolved. Key fob sometimes didn't open front building door and so daughter had to go round the back, which was dark and a building site. Many students don't socialise, which is good if you want to study but not for those who want to mix. Fire alarm was constantly going off first few months, at all times. Staff were often limited to what they could do so we don't blame them. I ended up going higher in the end and finally got my daughter's room issues resolved after two odd months, the lady in question was absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, many students won't bother and will put up with it. Daughter did see a live mouse in her room when writing her dissertation, which was quite off putting. I think the team are doing their best with the staff they have and this could be a great place with a little more time and TLC.

Very lame management site, every parcel delivered out to their office hours are not their responsibility, if the parcel lost you can only blame yourself. Ages ago, they send an email about parcel will be delivered to your room. Happened 3 weeks and now parcel just outside laying on the floor or sofa. If they saw it they won’t take it. Last year, fire alarm keep going on at least once every week, no action took, this year they finally took action. Thanks god. Office working hours are ridiculous wired, 12pm to 3pm, sometimes you wanna find them during that period, they are not in the reception. The night caretakers are very nice tho but overall they have some serious issue with the management site and maintenance. Last year, they even have mouse in the building……….couldn’t be more disappointed

Noise: There is a construction work for a long time. The noise starts before 8:00 am.... Fire alarm goes on at least twice every week, sometimes after 2:00 am (turned off after two hours or so) Mouse: I personally found a dead mouse in my room, and caught one alive... Irresponsible staff: emergent line is something that is never got through... Once upon a time, they told us they will help us collect our parcels... A lot of bugs as well and very slow response to repairing request, but they are minor problems compared to the those above AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!! Don't be a fool
