Overall my experience has been great at College Hall North. However, there are a few things I would like to address that could use some improvement. I believe there should be no visitation hours for Howard students; we should be able to stay overnight or arrive at any time, as long as we can prove our Howard student status with our IDs. Additionally, the staff in the mail room isn't always the kindest; she often has a rude tone and just seems not to care at all. And finally, I would appreciate a roommate more like me so that we could get along better, it's a bit difficult to have a roommate the opposite of me because then I feel like I'm ruining their lifestyle by being me and it should never feel like that.

Bug infested. I lived here 2 years ago and had generally a mild experience, hot water was out a lot of times and as someone with severe anemia that took a toll on my body. I am living here for a summer program presently, I moved in last week and since then I’ve been killing roaches at least once an hour, sometimes 4, and this midnight officially marks a week me being here. I am truly appalled and disgusted. I’ve filled out maintenance requests with no response. There are no windows in this building that open and there is no working ventilation. I bought a bug spray three days ago and it’s already empty. I am not used to this and I am so uncomfortable. A few minutes ago I was sleeping and a quarter coin sized roach ran across my face, I went to front desk for an RA and they can’t do anything. I’m exhausted from all the work I’m doing and I haven’t been able to sleep since I got here. The amenities aren’t even as nice as they were two years ago this place is all asthetics. I don’t have a fridge or any foods because I’m here for a short amount of time and I have a meal plan so I truly don’t know why so many bugs wonder around my room but just imagine the rooms of the people who do and are probably experiencing worse. Do better.

After reading the reviews, I certainly hope that Howard University is taking the concerns of the students seriously. Parents are sacrificing to send their kids to the Best HBCU, we are also expecting the best in their housing situation. That being said, when we know better we do better. The students deserve to be respected. Please allow them to concentrate on their academics.

Management is unprofessional. When I moved into my 10,000 room for the year old Chinese was left from the semester before. Showers are unbearabley small. Water fountains rarely work. A/C or Heat it's a 50/50 chance you will have it for the duration of your stay. Front door never work, mine as well not have a key card. 9/10 people staying here are funded by parents and they treat parents that come to help kids move out like criminals.

College Hall dormitory is a safe, clean, and friendly place to reside. There are cool amenities that every resident has access to such as the recreational room, fitness center, on-site laundry facility, vending machines, technology center, and beyond. As a resident, you'll enjoy your stay.
