This is the worst housing I have ever stayed in. HVAC units down they have still not fixed it for half the tenants in 90 degree weather. I have had a bathroom clog since I got here have tried to communicate multiple times. They have tried to tell me a technician would be sent out to fix the problem and no one has ever come. I have now been dealing with this issue for months and can’t even take a clean shower because there is 0 communication and a lack of care for residents. Not to mention the elevator breaks down every week. Please find different housing in DC if you do not want to deal with such issues.

I have been a WISH resident since January 2025, first at 215, then 231, and now in Woodley. My experience has been excellent. The housing is clean, safe, and in great locations. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always responsive. WISH creates a welcoming community where it is easy to meet other students and feel supported during your time in Washington, D.C. I highly recommend WISH to anyone coming to the city for internships or academic programs.

As a Father who moved my daughter in yesterday. Here are my take aways. Poor communication from WISH, great staff at front desk who is very helpful, the apartment was "filthy" from previous interns who looked like they just moved out, the building and entry is safe and locked. The location at Woodley Park is fantastic.

I came to DC for the first time to live here for a while, and WISH has been the perfect way to begin! Here's why I liked it: - Beautiful, safe area just a 5-minute walk from the Capitol Building - Great opportunities for networking — students from all across the U.S. with diverse backgrounds - Opportunity to elevate your skills through events such as speaker series and workshops

If I could give zero stars, I would. Living under this landlord/management has been one of the most disorganized, frustrating, and frankly disrespectful housing experiences I’ve ever had. Communication is abysmal. Important issues are ignored, delayed, or handled only after repeated follow-ups, and even then responses are vague, dismissive, or contradictory. Expectations are constantly enforced arbitrarily—rules seem to matter only when it’s convenient for them, and tenants are left guessing what will suddenly become a problem next. Maintenance and upkeep are treated as an afterthought. Concerns that should be routine are brushed off or pushed endlessly, while tenants are still expected to comply immediately with every demand, no matter how unreasonable or poorly communicated. There is a clear imbalance: accountability flows one direction only. What makes this worse is the tone. Instead of professionalism, tenants are met with condescension and passive-aggressive responses, as if basic habitability and clarity are inconveniences rather than responsibilities. It feels less like renting from a competent landlord and more like constantly navigating someone else’s chaos. If you value clear communication, consistency, and being treated like an adult rather than a nuisance, look elsewhere. DC renting is hard enough—this experience made it unnecessarily miserable.
