Living at Legacy Ridge has been a really great experience so far. The staff is kind and shared areas are clean and well maintained. The location is perfect for BYU-Idaho students. It feels like a supportive community, and I’ve enjoyed living here. I’d definitely recommend Legacy Ridge to anyone looking for campus housing in Rexburg.

I've lived at the Ridge for a little over a year at this point. For the things I most value in an apartment (Private Rooms of decent size, available parking, Ethernet jacks) they do a very good job. The location is good, generally away from traffic. The points given in other reviews have some merit, but aside from some issues my initial semester, I've only had positive experiences with maintenance and management. I can recommend it to others with similar priorities.

(I am writing this review for a Giveaway the Ridge is doing). This is my third year at the Ridge and the reviews are very accurate (the bad ones). Particularly the reviews about the apartments being dirty upon arrival (even with white glove charges if they're deemed not clean or even for apartments that paid for "cleaners"), and about management not caring about maintenance requests or any issue in general. We got some new management and hopefully that is changing things for the better, though I have noticed one trend. Our dishwasher is extremely gross, the dishes come out dirtier than they went in and they smell bad. I put in a maintenance request recently and I got an email saying it was completed but nothing has changed and I'm not even sure maintenance ever came over to take a look at it. Last year our apartment had some really big health concerns due to a resident, and multiple roommates contacted management for help (throughout the entire semester...it was BAD) and all of them were dismissed. I could go on forever but you can just read the other reviews lol, it can be pretty bad here as far as cleanliness, "random fees", and management caring about the residents (again, we just got some new management so this issue might be resolved now, I sure hope so!!!). One thing I love about the Ridge is the private rooms (though I feel like there tend to be more dirty people here unfortunately, because of the private rooms maybe??), and I love how close we are to the temple. Also, the space and layout in the apartment is a W.

If I could give a zero star review, I would. I had a very frustrating experience with Jordan Ridge management during move-out and billing. I was charged a $50 lost key fee among other cleaning fees that I genuinely disputed, and despite providing clear explanations and asking reasonable questions, management was unwilling to meaningfully review or reconsider the charges. The key was returned to the office, yet they claimed there was “no record” of it and held me responsible anyway. Rather than working toward a solution, the response felt rigid and procedural, with no willingness to acknowledge that internal handling errors could occur. For the cleaning charge, no photos or objective proof were provided to support the claim that my room failed inspection. Explanations were speculative, and concerns I raised were dismissed rather than addressed. What disappointed me most was not even the money — it was the lack of flexibility, and customer care. The communication felt very dismissive. Don’t even bother with this place. Find a different apartment complex.

If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. The management is truly unacceptable, unprofessional, impolite, and, most disturbingly, discriminatory. My experience with Miranda was especially concerning. As a person of color, I was treated noticeably differently from other residents during an interaction at the office. Her behavior was dismissive, rude, and deeply unprofessional. Chloe, another manager, was no better, equally impolite and difficult to deal with. When I first moved in, I had a casual conversation with Chloe that immediately raised red flags. I politely asked, “Oh, you must be busy, is this the busiest week of the semester?” She coldly replied, “No, actually it’s mid-semester, when roommates request to move out because they don’t get along.” Then she added, “They have private rooms, just lock yourself in there.” That moment made it clear to me that management lacked both empathy and professionalism. Beyond that, their obsession with money is outrageous. They charged each resident $118 for a "white glove" cleaning fee, even though our apartment was completely clean. The charge was for items that were already left from the previous semester, how does it make sense to charge $708 in total for minimal removal work? I am seriously considering legal action for these unjust charges. The only positive thing I can say is that the apartment itself is spacious, which somewhat justifies the $1800 rent. However, the carpet is old and dirty, and maintenance requests are not taken seriously. Absolutely terrible. I’ve included photos showing the condition of the apartment on the very first day I moved in, highlighting just how filthy and unacceptable it was upon arrival. It was so bad that I had to request a different apartment immediately. If you’re looking to add stress from poor management on top of your academic load, then by all means, sign a contract here. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Absolutely unacceptable. Update (in response to management’s reply below): What I find most upsetting is the pretense of professionalism in this response, which starkly contradicts the reality of how residents are treated. When I called for clarification about the charge, I was yelled at, not helped. That kind of behavior is not only disrespectful, it's unacceptable. So when you claim to provide a 'respectful and welcoming environment,' please understand that it directly conflicts with the lived experience of your residents. You admitted the apartment was clean, yet charged $708 for removing a few forgotten items, and that’s the only reason given. That doesn’t align with fairness or transparency. Telling residents to call the office again after such treatment only suggests you’re not listening. To those considering living here: be aware that your $150 security deposit is unlikely to be returned. The management seems more focused on finding technicalities to justify keeping it than on treating people fairly. If you’re looking for an apartment, I strongly recommend considering other options, like Centre Square.
