I hate every second of living here. The rooms are claustrophobic and full of spiders and there is an unbelievable amount of noise from traffic. My apartment is “fully furnished” but my bed is broken and has mysterious stains all over the mattress. Not even to mention the commute to anywhere I regularly need to go. I am literally counting down the days until I can move out.

I absolutely LOVE GrandMarc! I’ve been living here for a couple of years now and never want to leave. I moved in here the summer starting my second year of college, worked here for two years while in college, & have lived here now post grad for two+ years. This is a great location for students & anyone post grad/working full time. There has been so many upgrades (academic success center, the lounge areas, gym, mail room, front office, etc), there’s an underground heated parking garage which is perfect for Minnesota winters, & the staff is wonderful! There is on call staff & maintance in case you get locked out or need any assistance when the front office is closed, they have fun events throughout the year, & everyone is super kind! It’s also in the perfect location with the law school across the street, Carlson across the bridge, the light rail two minutes away walking distance, & all of the stores/restaurants/grocery stores within walking or short driving distance. I was planning on living here for at least another year or two, but am getting married in August & moving into a house with my fiance once we get married, so sadly have to leave. I genuinely love GrandMarc, their staff, & this building SO much though! I wish more people would leave reviews now after all of the upgrades because the older reviews from YEARS ago are the only reason that this place doesn’t have five stars. Please come check this place out, take a tour, talk to the staff, & enjoy living here like I did - because I promise you you won’t regret it! Love you Grandmarc; you’ll always have a special place in my heart!❤️ PS: Enjoy random pictures I found from my camera roll throughout all of these years of living here - from Christmas time with all my fun decorations, to gym flexing pics, date nights, resident events, & back when I worked here! You’ll love it here!😊

First, sorry for how melodramatic I sound. I am bad at communicating but I mean well. Cliquey, ableist staff, everythings always broken and if you press the issue only firmly, you get accused of verbal abuse and warned. Now I know who's been going around spreading rumours about me and why everyone in my neighbourhood avoids me now. Rumours are violence. My own apartment building's cliquey leasing staff. I will be terminating my lease early as soon as I have the opportunity. They also nickle and dime people and there's been multiple reports of infestations, things broken where people just treat it like you just did something incorrectly somehow to cause it (like in my case, my HVAC, and the faucet that spit cold water for TWO YEARS before i got just the right maintenance guy who had never been to my unit and said "oh they needed to adjust the pressure and change the filter.") If you're an outsider of any sort, as in not friends with the staff, all kinds of things get assumed. Unprofessional phone calls where you will press issue about something that is broken, only firmly, only for them to turn it into a passive aggressive personal attack "nobody thinks badly of you here" out of the blue. IDC if maybe I've brought that up by mistake in an email weeks ago, why say that, what the hell man. I must have missed a sort of pleasantry while being firm or something because what the hell warrants calling this and pressing ok WHEN is my hvac going to be fixed though? I am a survivor. I know what abuse is. You should be ashamed of the ableism and crybullying this staff has to offer. I am done. Next time the AC breaks I'm just moving out. Any fees upon moveout (and watch out, they LOVE those) will be brought to court.

The only things GM7C has going for them is the location and sticker price. Prepare to pay mystery fees anywhere from $30 to $300 without explanation or attestation. There was mold in my walls, which required complete shower demolition and rendered my bathroom unusable for nearly three weeks. Luckily, my mysterious, 2-month respiratory illness disappeared after the mold was removed from my walls. My bedroom windows faced building entrances and were subject to frequent knocking in the night by drunk partygoers, unhoused folks and smokers from our building who would fill my room with secondhand smoke even with windows closed. The ceiling light in our entryway fell and shattered glass all over our floors. The building and ramp are not secure and the door locks frequently break and leave you stranded outside with management unreachable. On several occasions my roommates and I threatened GrandMarc 7 Corners with legal action in order for anyone to even pick up the phone. The management team and community assistants are utterly incompetent, lack basic communication skills, empathy and even an ounce of critical thinking. Only Jeff and the maintenance team excel in every area their management team lacks. While this facility is advertised as student living, the bulk of residents living near me were not students. There was a shooting across the street. College students- if you’re desperate for a convenient location, know this is daylight robbery. I ultimately decided a 40-minute daily commute to and from West Bank was better than renewing my lease in this decrepit building.

I recently moved in back August and so far my experience has been good. The complex is quick to respond to my emails and requests. The building is on the older side but the maintenance team does their best to keep up with it. The Gym and Courtyard are what sold the property for me. Update: the staff has been super helpful with all my questions
