I rented an apartment on 13th Street from Schulhof from 2013-2016. On more than one occasion I thought I smelled gas coming from my stove. When I contacted the leasing office with my concerns, I was dismissed. Before my lease ended, I began to experience hallucinations and night terrors, to the degree that my neighbor, the building manager, called the police for a wellness check. The scariest thing about night terrors is that you might not remember them, so when I answered the door in the early hours and spoke with MPD officers who came to check on me, I had no recollection. General advice: if you suspect a gas leak, call the fire department, not the landlord.

epairs are always done in a timely manner which is much appreciated. Once we did not have any hot water and I called my apartment manager (Alex) and he immediately tried to fix the issue, despite it being the weekend. Alex is really great, super responsive and understanding of issues tenants may have. The unit itself in Maryland Court is nice and spacious. We ended up getting a great deal on the place after some confusion with our first choice for apartments, so it was great that they were able to rectify the situation and give us a discount for the trouble. We really enjoy the natural light in the building and the old architecture. My favorite part is the original counsel we have in the dining room, very pretty and convenient ! Despite the age of the unit, we have never once had issues with pests or anything of the sort. Photos are the view from our 3rd floor unit in the dining room. I love to just sit and drink coffee in the dining room on sunny mornings, the view is so gorgeous.

If I could give Schulhof Properties 11 out of 5 stars, I would. I have had a truly exceptional experience living here and interacting with the entire staff. From Deb in the office, to Katie in leasing, to Dan in maintenance, they consistently go above and beyond, prioritizing the needs of their tenants. Whenever I have needed to contact maintenance (not often), they have arrived at my apartment within TEN minutes. The neighbors (friends) I have made while living here are truly remarkable. Words cannot begin to describe the utmost appreciation I have for this company and everyone involved. I have lived in numerous apartments throughout the country for years, and Schulhof, by far, takes the cake. I wish Schulhof Properties were located in every city!

Absolutely love renting through Schulhof! I’ve been renting my first solo apartment through them for a bit over half a year now, and I couldn’t be happier! The rent is cheaper than when I shared a three bedroom with roommates, and I feel completely safe and secure in the locked building! Would definitely recommend!

Schulhof Property Management was an amazing place to live this year! From the beginning of my move in day all the staff have been very friendly and helped with anything I needed. Throughout the year, the maintenance team have always been in my apartment building doing what they can. They are really nice people and always stop to have a conversation and ask if you need anything. I had a question once and the man came to my apartment and explained the issue I was having. I was very impressed. They communicate any issues via email and reply very efficiently. Overall, I would highly recommend living in any Schulhof property as you will be well looked after!
