Wouldn't live at this apartment again if they paid me to live there. Maintenance is basically non-existent, elevator is constantly broken and owners will give a timeframe just to push it until the next semester. Door security rarely works and door is left open constantly. The elevator and common spaces are filthy. Went through three different managements during my time here and not a single one was competent. After staying here for over two years I can say with confidence that this is one of the worst apartments you can stay out during your time at Madison. Tons of other similarly priced options even on the same street. If you can sign at other places I would 100% stay clear of this forsaken place.

I chose to live here for the excellent location, cheap rent, and large space and was fully satisfied in those aspects. The rooms are big enough along with a huge balcony and kitchen space. There were definitely some issues with the management at the beginning of semester, with elevator issues, front entrance issues, no cleanliness, and slow responses. Now, the management is getting more prompt and the maintenance is also helpful. I still think it was a good decision overall to live here.

Couldn’t be happier with this apartment. Staff are friendly and the maintenance is quick. We got this apartment for cheap compared to the other places around State street and it has the authentic college apartment feeling to it. The rooms are big and our balcony overlooks State street. Definitely worth a look at if you want to be near classes/college life and don’t want to pay an extreme amount of money.

The company tries to lure people in with no security deposit, (relatively) low rent, and excellent location. If you think that's worth living in an unsafe, inaccessible, broken-down, managerially-abandoned, foul-smelling piece of garbage apartment building that's ran by incompetent managerial staff, go for it! Appliances are always broken (dishwasher, oven, stove) and the maintenance team is nonexistent. Not to mention the complete lack of reliability from the leasing and management staff... they never answer the phones, ever, ever. Unless, of course, you're "lucky" enough to talk to the occasional rude and dismissive staff member. The building is also filthy and the building odors fluctuate between garbage, urine, and feces. The front door to the apartment building has a faulty locking mechanism; sometimes, it is locked from the outside, so that people are LOCKED IN and have to leave the building through the back entry (very dangerous fire hazard). Other times the door is unlocked and non-residents have access to personal mail/packages and apartment hallways (safety hazard). If you care about your peace of mind and basic safety, don't live here! I bet the property company will respond to this expressing their concern about my review- but that would be more communication from BMOC than I've ever received regarding my concerns about my apartment... just because it's public.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Living here has been an absolute nightmare. The elevator was broken for three months straight last year, and no one from management ever contacted residents to provide updates or accommodations. When we reached out to the leasing office, they told us not to contact the state, which is completely unacceptable, especially considering disabled residents rely on elevator access. The elevator has broken again multiple times this year (for two weeks in September and two weeks in October), and once again management showed zero urgency or concern. Went to the leasing office multiple times and was met with rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional customer service, the worst I’ve ever experienced. They never answer their phones or return voicemails, if you call they immediately put you to voicemail. Maintenance requests go unanswered for weeks; it took four weeks to get a response to a simple repair request. On top of that, utilities and appliances are frequently broken. Laundry machines, fridges, and dishwashers are constantly malfunctioning, and nothing ever gets fixed in a timely manner. The staff is incompetent and show a total lack of accountability, communication, and empathy, particularly toward residents with disabilities. If you’re considering moving here, don’t. There are plenty of apartments in the area that are more reasonably where you’ll actually be treated with basic respect and where accessibility, safety, and livability are taken seriously.
