The rent is cheap for a reason here. I have lived here for four years in different units and had problems at every single one. The management has changed here several times and has never gotten better. The mail privileges were taken away a few years ago and we still don't get packages or mail; the office has to deliver them. Several office staff are rude and unprofessional when talking over the phone. They tell you what you want to hear to make you stop calling and don't fix the problem. My apartment got shot, breaking the window entirely and it took them two weeks to clean up the glass and replace the window. I lived with a wood board over the hole and had to clean up the glass shards because their team didn't. They only offered that I could stay in their display apartment for the weekend when this happened. This place is not student friendly; I have had several problems with neighbors blasting music all hours of the day making it impossible to study or do homework. The management said there is nothing they can do, so I had to call the police to knock on their door which they just turned back on the music after they left. This place is dog friendly but doesn't monitor anything they claim they do with the dogs. Many dogs roam off leash and owners do not pick up after their dogs leaving the grounds disgusting and smelly. I have lived on the bottom floor twice where the people above me have had a dog and let their dog pee on their balcony causing it to drip onto my door, window, and railing and I am left to clean it up. The management did not help with this matter, and I had to call animal control. The parking situation is horrendous here. People park horribly or in two spots causing there to not be enough parking available. My car has been hit in the parking lot three times, one of which was a hit and run because they do not have cameras here. When it snows, they also plow your car into your spot so you can't get out and the hill getting into the complex is covered with ice all winter making it hard for cars to get back home. The maintenance team is supposed to pick up the grounds, but they do not pick up near buildings people can't see. I have also had numerous emergency maintenance issues like mold growing under my sink because the disposal broke, mice in my apartment because they didn't seal them out properly and water leaks in many walls caused by the water heater or a burst pipe.

I work for a doctor's office up here in Flagstaff. My home is extremely important to me. I've been at these apartments for almost 10 years. The property management/front desk is awesome. They work very hard to make sure the residents are kept happy and the property is maintained . The front office people are Brittany, Vi, Amy, Jericho, Chris. When it comes to maintenance they have a great maintenance crew. Fernando and Jason work extremely fast and they make sure the job is done correctly. They have really good maintenance crew with them as well. I support the work of the apartment complex. I believe that they should be given all the support by corporate of whatever is needed. 10/10 nothing less! I would suggest to others living here full-time or for school.

I've had a great living experience at Highland Village Apartments! The staff and the property manager Britany have been very accommodating, and maintenance is quick if you have an issue with any appliances.

The pricing is pretty good but the issue is it costs $5 to wash and dry a load of clothes and that adds up quick. Not to mention the landlord special energy some apartments have even though they're "newly renovated". (My door literally fell apart 2 months into living here.) Also the office staff is SO uninviting, they look aggravated everytime you walk in and constantly close 30-45 minutes early, so if you need to get your package, you just won't.

I truly try not to bother my time with writing reviews however considering the large ammount of time you'll be at your own apartment i think its worth commenting on how awful this place is. I'm a college student, i chose this place because it was cheap, seemed close enough to a bus stop and to campus. Walmart and a gas station are also right around the corner. however i found the 1.5 year i was here extremely annoying. First off, if you walk or prefer taking the bus to class and they give you an apartment in the very back. It'll be an awful treck up hill everytime you come home. Maybe im just unathletic but the up hill walk winded me and any friends i had come over. Further more, if it snows. Its even WORSE. they seem to only shovel the main loop of the road so if your in the parking cut outs, good luck because the road will be insanely icy. and again, the uphill and downhill will make driving and parking so much worse. i also noticed that depending on your placement, you might not just get any sunlight at all. Inside the apartment they come prefurnished which honestly should be a plus. But it's not. The matress is always sliding off the bedframe, the bed frame is almost too big and i kept stabbing my thigh on the corner. The dresser and night stand are fine, maybe some wear and tear from pass tentant but they'll do. However the "desks" they give u arent actually desks. theyre two pieces of wood BOLTED to the wall most likely infront of your only window. you pay 800$ at the cheapest and 1500+ at most a month and you cant move your own desk??? There is no ac either which actually isnt too big of a deal, but when you walk up hill after a class in the warmer months and then you walk up a bunch of stairs just to get into your apartment it becomes extremly hot. However you could just buy a portable ac, but then you would have to LUG IT up the stairs too. moving in and out was awful. the bathrooms are fine, everything works. The only issue is that the bathtubs will creak no matter what, that just seems to be a general thing. there is NO in-unit washer or dryer. You have a communal one down the stairs in which the price will change and go up. it becomes very annoying and its two washers and dryers for probs 30-40 people per building. And god knows how annoying that can be. Office staff seem nice and friendly, i mean they have over i imagine 2000 tennats at any given time. However i find them extremely hostile?? at least the main manager brittaine is. I dont know if i always catch her when shes mostly stressed but shes extremely passive agressive. They say you should email them but they dont ever reply to emails so you have to chase them down on the phone or go to the office. they blamed a mis charge on me and then gave me a fee for it. I had to call, deal with a rude landlord and then go down with printed reciepts and bank statments. Only then did they admit it but they still tried to pin it on me lmfao. There is no ammenties that make this place worth it. i mean their club house is nicer then the actual apartments, but the only things i ever used was maybe the printer? The gym seemed lack luster, and a basketball court isnt the most useful thing ever. Sure they have one of the cheapest rates around town. They seem convient, and hell the walking trails and the trees around make for some very pretty scenes. But its not worth it. Truly invest in your happiness and spend an extra 200-400$ on a better place. Oh also, you dont know your roommates nor can you choose them. I got stuck with an absolute perv who i avoided like the plague and basically made the common spaces of the the apartment unusable. They wont do anything either, they're not student housing so obvi they wont. They just said be cordial and deal with it. Also for some reason they're always shutting off the water and power for certain buildings?? I didn't live in them but i got emails of when they would and i imagine it would be super annoying.
