I have lived here for about 2 years, going on 3. Overall the gym is a great resource, the computer lab is sufficient and the events and amenities are pretty nice. The advantage to living here is the safety compared to other general apartment complexes in the Carbondale area. I have felt by far the safest At this apartment complex compared to others while also being extremely close to town and to the university. There is public transportation, so it is really not that difficult but many people do have Cars and there are no issues with parking. It is very dog friendly so I would keep that in mind if you have issues with animals or don’t want to run into dogs. But most people really appreciate the atmosphere. There is a lot of grass and open areas to walk around. The apartments are very clean and maintenance has been great so far, they do arrive pretty quickly to help and are always friendly. Some downsides: There are downsides to every apartment complex, But here I really do wish that the prices didn’t fluctuate as much. The price increase in 2025 has been by far the largest price increase. Additionally, due to the location of this apartment complex, we do often deal with power outages, and Wi-Fi outages. For many winters, we didn’t really get quick snow removal or sidewalk icing, But that did slightly improve last winter. I would absolutely still move here if you are new to the area and want a comfortable place to live.

I’ve lived here for almost a year and have already re-signed to stay another year, that should say a lot! The management is great, and the maintenance team is incredibly kind and responsive; they really get things done. I’ve already recommended this place to multiple people because, out of all the apartments I toured, this one feels the most like home. That “homey” feeling is so important, especially when you’re living away from family. Plus, there are tons of amenities and perks that make living here even better. Highly recommend!

Very close to school and one of the cheapest apartments I’ve found that looks this good. The new keycards that are in have never once caused an issue for me in the almost two years they’ve been around. Maintenance always answers requests within 24 hours, usually same day. I asked once about our dryer and came home to see we had a new one they work so fast. Sometimes things could be better on move in but it’s better than I expect with a college town. New management is easy to talk to and is usually around to help you.

I lived at The Reserve at Saluki Pointe for two years after transferring from a community college from Chicago and overall, it’s been a solid experience. The location was great for me, with easy access to public transportation. I always felt safe in the building, and the neighbors were generally respectful. The apartment itself was always well maintained between all 4 roommates. Maintenance was usually pretty responsive, especially for urgent issues. If you're looking for a no-frills, reliable, and non expensive place to live in Carbondale, this place is definitely worth checking out!

The reserves is a great place for college students to live. They always do our maintenance requests in a timely manner. I haven’t had any problems.
