I rarely leave negative reviews, but prospective tenants deserve to know what they're signing up for. This is the fourth student housing apartment I've lived in between my undergraduate and graduate education, and it has been, by far, the worst housing experience I've ever had. My roommates and I rented here for a short-term stay while attending a summer intensive for a graduate program at WKU. From the beginning, our experience was filled with ongoing maintenance, cleanliness, safety, and habitability issues that made this one of the worst living experiences I've ever had. Within a day of moving in, we started to deal with repeated maintenance problems, including our air conditioning failing during extremely hot weather, leaving the apartment around 90 degrees. Despite reporting it early in the day every single day, no one appeared to be planning to address the issue before the weekend until I repeatedly called and pleaded for help. The condition of the apartment was also unacceptable. We discovered bugs coming from the drains and air vents, raising concerns that went beyond the occasional insect you expect in an apartment. Even after maintenance treated the unit, the problem continued. We also found actual marijuana underneath our stove, making it obvious the apartment had not been properly cleaned before move-in. To make matters worse, amenities that we were paying for were never actually usable during our stay. The pool, one of the primary amenities advertised by the property, remained unavailable for the entirety of our lease. It was incredibly frustrating to pay for an amenity that was included in our rent but that we never had the opportunity to use. Most disappointing, however, has been management's response. While I understand that things break and apartments require maintenance, the complete lack of urgency, empathy, and accountability has been incredibly frustrating. At no point did anyone apologize for the repeated issues or acknowledge the disruption they caused. Every solution required constant follow-up from us, often involving daily calls just to receive updates or basic assistance. We documented our concerns thoroughly and requested some relief given the number and severity of the issues we experienced. Rather than feeling heard, we felt dismissed. We were also surprised by utility charges that seemed unusually high, including estimated usage despite periods when no one was living in the apartment. If you're considering living here, don't. Save yourself the physical, mental, and financial trauma, and find somewhere else! I strongly recommend touring carefully, asking detailed questions about maintenance response times, the condition of the units, and whether the advertised amenities are actually available before signing a lease. Based on my experience, I would not recommend living here.

The young Man in leasing is a true professional. Respectful. Curtious. Helpful. His name eludes me but heid admirable. He was already closed assisting two individuals and still he made time to do everything I needed help with. Even gave me a satisfactory tour. If everyone in the world were as considerate this world would be a much better place. I'm excited for possible residency. If not he made my week for sure. Who knows maybe the year. Asset. Hands down Best Regards, Kevin Jones

I just moved in here very recently, coming from really far away, and I was honestly dreading the homesickness. But the Muse team has been amazing. Everyone, from the office to maintenance, knew this was a big change for me and went out of their way to help me settle in smoothly. They checked on me, and made me feel cared for. I never felt out of place here. The apartment is cozy and warm (especially during this ongoing freezing winter storm!), the location is perfect, and everything just feels right. I'm so thankful for the support, it's made all the difference. I love it here and plan to stay a long time. Thank you, Muse BG team! You're the best

This was a great place to stay at. Especially if you’re a college student. Everything is nearby. Restaurants and Corvette Museum. Has some cool amenities like the pool, pavilion and the study area. So if you new to BG this is the place to live.

One of the most stressful living situations I’ve ever been in. Do not live here if you don’t want black mold. For one when I first moved in they did not change any filters or clean and the unit was missing furniture for two I’ve been battle mold the whole time I was living there I put in many maintenance requests and it was never taken as seriously as it should have been I found black mold under my bed which explains the daily headaches I was having and there was mold in my closet and mold growing behind my couch. These apartments are poorly built and if you get multiple maintenance requests about black mold maybe investigate the whole space. My apartment was not livable. THATS NOT EVEN MENTIONING THE FACT THAT MULTIPLE PEOPLES CARS WERE DESTROYED DURING THE SNOW STORM BECAUSE OF THE ROOFS INCLUDING MINE!!!
