I rented a studio apartment at 7INK and lived there for 1 year and 3 months. I signed the lease before I had the chance to see the real place, and there wasn’t any Google Review at that time because it had been opened for just a few months. This turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I worked at Tufts Medical Center, so the location is perfect for me. 7INK is next to Whole Foods Market. It is also close to a CVS pharmacy and two Asian grocery stores (C Mart and New Ming). The main issue that I had was that the trash chute could not be opened on many occasions (I think this is because tenants on a different floor did not close the trash chute on their floors properly). Others minor issues that I had included: - Noise from the highway right next to the apartment. - Slow Internet (on very few occasions). - The blind did not block the light completely, and some light from outside could still pass through. - The shower door has a gap that water can drip through and wet the bathroom floor. - A slight leak under the kitchen sink None of these is a deal breaker for me. Having mentioned quite a few downsides, I still think 7INK is a great place to live and would recommend it to anyone who is trying to find an apartment in Boston. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

7INK is a great option if you need a short-term, flexible, low-commitment lease during a transitional period. (no brokers fee, small deposit, what you see online is what you get.) I moved into a very convenient 3-bedroom, 2-bath suite and, overall, had a positive experience (considering cleanliness, furnishing, location), especially since I was rarely home due to my schedule. However, I would not recommend relying on random roommate pairings for long-term stays (8mo.+, my lease was 14mo). In my experience, this created logistical and interpersonal challenges. When unwarranted roommate issues arose, including a situation where I overheard a roommate speaking negatively about me and admitting to discarding some of my personal belongings from shared kitchen spaces, there was little support or intervention from management. The situation was categorized as “normal roommate issues,” despite the loss of personal property and ongoing tension. I believe the building would greatly benefit from implementing clearer conflict-resolution pathways. Options such as early lease release, mediation support from management, or temporary internal room transfers could significantly improve tenant satisfaction when roommate compatibility becomes problematic. Overall, 7INK serves well as a convenient short-term housing solution, but prospective residents should carefully consider the risks associated with randomized roommate assignments, particularly for extended stays.

I lived at 7INK Boston for about a year and a half after moving to Boston from the opposite coast without knowing anyone. Choosing this building was one of the best decisions I made during that transition. It made settling into a new city much easier and more comfortable. Pros: 1) Fully furnished apartments: The apartment comes fully furnished, which made moving incredibly easy. I was able to settle in within just a few days without needing to buy or move furniture. 2) Great staff and service: The entire 7INK team -- concierge, cleaning staff, and maintenance—are very friendly, professional, and responsive. Also, having a concierge team available at all hours made the building feel very safe and welcoming. 3) Strong sense of community: The building hosts weekly resident events such as free gym classes, free breakfasts, happy hours, and fun activities like arts and crafts workshops with local artists. I was able to meet friends through these events, and it truly feels like a community rather than just an apartment building. 4) Great work-from-home & party room spaces: There are study rooms and common work areas that make it easy to work from home outside of your apartment. There is also a communal kitchen, party rooms, and a rooftop to host parties. 5) Excellent location: The building is in a prime location with easy access to public transit, including the MBTA Orange Line, Red Line, and Silver Line, as well as many bus routes connecting you to the heart of Boston. Cons 1) Highway proximity: Because the building is close to the highway, it can be noisy and bright at night. It can also make opening the windows less ideal due to traffic noise. 2) Smaller room sizes: The rooms can feel a bit small depending on your space needs. Final Thoughts Overall, 7INK was a fantastic place to live, especially for someone new to Boston who wants convenience, safety, and an easy move-in experience. The strong sense of community and thoughtful amenities made my time there especially memorable!

I recently moved into 7INK and have loved everything about it so far. Management is super nice and helpful, the building is beautiful, and the units themselves are amazing. Also, because the units come furnished (very nicely, might I add), the move-in process was unbelievably easy. I'm also really impressed with the amenities and events they already have planned. Oh, and you really can't beat the neighborhood! It's one of the best in Boston, and perfect for young professionals. All in all, I highly recommend 7INK.

I cannot tolerate how often the fire alarm goes off—it’s extremely annoying and inconvenient. Recently it has been happening twice a week, and one time it even went off at 1 a.m. on a weekday. The last couple of times, after we were escorted out of the building, it turned out to be minor kitchen incidents on the 7th floor (someone burning oil and sugar), which were put out immediately. Nine times out of ten, the fire alarm is just a drill or a false alarm. Please fix this—it’s uninhabitable for people who are trying to work or sleep in the building. The renewal policy is also a complete rip-off. I’ve never rented anywhere else that requires a 60-day notice to move out, or else they assume you’re staying after the lease expiration date. Normally, tenants either move out or their deposit will be deducted when returned if they don’t. Here, they charge $200 per day after the expiration date unless you submit a notice 60 days in advance. Who does that? On top of that, the maintenance team had been coming to my apartment every other day to fix the air duct because the tenant below me couldn’t get air circulation in their unit. It had been very inconvenient.
