I’ve spent the last week searching for a place to stay, and it’s been a frustrating process. Thankfully, I finally connected with a real estate agent who was honest, professional, and respectful of my time. Briana took the time to understand what I was looking for without trying to oversell me or pressure me into anything. She made the process feel much less stressful and helped me find an option that fits my needs. If you’re looking for quality service and someone who genuinely wants to help, I highly recommend asking for Briana.

I am a current resident at The Social. I have been living here while undertaking my masters degree, and I will be moving out in July at the end of my lease. Pros: - The location is pretty good. Tuscany-Canterbury is a pretty nice area, away from the urban sprawl of Baltimore city but with the city still very accessible by way of buses and the charm city circulator. - When it comes to mechanical issues, maintenance is pretty responsive and works pretty fast. This includes issues such as requests for replacement furniture and appliances. I have been satisfied with my experiences with maintenance. - Appliances have been generally good. - Utilities are included in rent, and the provided wi-fi is decent. Cons: - There is a persistent mouse infestation that pest control has been entirely incapable of and unhelpful in solving. - During the weekends, hallways frequently smell like trash due to chutes filling up. This is especially prevalent on the lower floors, where I live. - Very few entrances are actually handicap accessible. This includes the front entrance and the entrance from the parking garage that I used, which do not have automatic doors. - Parking restrictions not being enforced on 39th st makes turning onto 39th st from the parking lot unsafe at best. - Elevators have had frequent issues, including one day where all three elevators were down. - All lease terms operate from mid august to end of july, which is inconvenient unless you are specifically a university student. - On the subject of strange lease terms, you pay a full month before moving in, but are only able to move in during the last week of the month. - Some paint on the ceiling is in an obviously bad state and makes the apartments look worse - Many packages are left in the open in the package room, which has no security. I personally have not had anything of mine stolen, but I would not be surprised if others have. These are the major points that I can think of off the top of my head. Overall I think The Social is fine compared to what I've heard about other apartment buildings in the area (one of my friends got gas poisoning by way of her apartment building and the social is by no means THAT bad), but it is by no means good. If you can afford a bit extra, I would not recommend living here. I also would recommend against living here if you're not a student.
