Overall a pretty good accommodation for the cost. Despite being a bit further to walk from Hallam it's worth it for the location. A Tesco around the corner and plenty of shops nearby, cafés on the path to the university and great views. Plus, plenty of takeaway nearby and West Street and Corporation a 5 minute walk away if you like a party and a drink. I would warn there are problems of silverfish here though and the heating isn't great. Often around 3am you can hear people outside too but it doesn't last too long. Overall compared to others it's pretty good for the price and I've been here 2 years now.

I have been at Unite Students Hall in Sheffield for quite sometimes, and my experience has been wonderful overall. The rooms are decent in size, furnished and bills are included as well, and this makes budgeting easier. It is usually quiet and suitable for studying. The staffs are helpful and ready to help whenever I am in need of help of any sort. The location is also convenient, especially if you are studying at the University of Sheffield, and Sheffield Hallam University since it’s not far from both campuses. For me it is a comfortable and affordable Place to live as a student.

There's a few issues with Westhill hall, the sofas are dirty, like the sofa in my first accommodation had loads of crumbs, bits and other stuff between the pillows, as well as multiple holes, so if you drop something, you have to lift up the whole sofa to get it back. At one point our front door was not locking, so anyone could have walked into our flat. Took a week to get it fixed. The cinema room was always dirty, crumbs, melted chocolate on the furniture, and we couldn't use the tv at all. The game room is pointless, all the board games are missing parts, the snooker table requires money, and the snooker cues are always broken. The receptionists aren't really the most friendliest, they tend to be lazy, mean and just not bothered about our problems. The fridge and freezer are way too small for 4 people, me and my flatmates had trouble storing our food to the point one of them had to get their own fridge for their bedroom. The onsuite is very small, im 6ft2 and had to really bend down to look in my bathroom mirror everytime, and the shower was so small I was banging my elbows on all the walls and door when I was washing myself. The carpets are very dirty, no matter how many times we hoovered them, they were always dirty. The cleaners did a terrible job cleaning the flat, because we found so many dirty things in the flat, dirt behind the tv, between the fridge and freezer, dirty cupboards and drawers, dirty bathroom floor, even the bed under the mattress was dirty. The appliances were horrible, we had to get 5 new irons, 3 new tv remotes, 2 new kettles, 1 new toaster, and 4 new hoovers, im certain they tried to give us the same iron back on the 3rd time. When we told them the living room window wasn't closing and kept opening, they told us its fine and its supposed to that. This happened in winter btw.

Outdated, moldy, water damage in the kitchen silver fish, toilet dosnt flush 9 times out of 10, paint coming off all the cupboards in the kitchen, most of the cupboard doors are broken, disgusting stains on the blinds in the kitchen, mysterious stains on the sofas and sofa cushions missing, little insects coming up from the drains in the shower. Overall a dirty place. Not worth the money when there’s other accommodations across the road that are just as cheap and better quality.
