COSMOS, sheffield

I’ve been living at Cosmos for three years now, and overall I’ve had a really good experience here. The facilities are modern and well maintained, and whenever I’ve needed to report a maintenance issue, it has usually been dealt with quickly. The building also feels safe, with good security downstairs. The environment is clean and comfortable, and the communal areas are really nice, especially the social spaces and the gym. The location is also very convenient, with The Moor just opposite the building and several supermarkets nearby. It’s also only a short walk to West Street. The staff are friendly and easy to communicate with, which makes living here much easier. I also really like that they put effort into decorating the building for different holidays, which makes the place feel more welcoming.

Very high standard of living here, with most aspects of the building being still very new. Rooms are very warm, and quiet. I rarely hear my flatmates from inside my room. Many cosy social spaces such as the gym, library and rooftop to chill at. All at a very good price point too. Some things to note is that boiler maintenance seems to happen in November for 1-2 weeks where it gets quite cold having the radiators shut off and water cold. There is also a homeless shelter outside B block where you will hear the occasional shouting at night. Would recommend to all student years, abit gutted that i only found this place in my last year of uni, as i otherwise would have stayed here for all 3 years.

My experience at Cosmos Sheffield has been overall good. The accommodation provides a great ambience with modern facilities, comfortable rooms and a good student environment. One of the best things is the location everything is nearby, including supermarkets, restaurants, the city centre and the train station, which makes daily life very convenient and easily accessible for students. The connectivity and transport links are excellent, and the accommodation also offers good social spaces to relax and meet new people. The rooms may feel slightly small for students looking for more spacious accommodation as per the prices but overall the stay is enjoyable. While some things and facilities still need improvement considering the price especially in terms of management and shared living support, the overall experience has been fantastic and convenient. I would definitely recommend it to students looking for a lively and well connected place to stay in Sheffield.

I have lived at cosmos for 2 years and have absolutely loved it. I live in a studio flat, with a big kitchen as well as to share with my flatmates. This is a perfect combination and would recommend it to anyone as it gives you the best of both worlds. The view from my room is also gorgeous. The staff are friendly and easily approachable with any questions I may have. The facilities are kept quite clean and sometimes there is free food and snacks!
