I’ve had an amazing experience living in this university accommodation and would highly recommend it to anyone! The rooms are clean, modern, and really comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home. The facilities are well-maintained and everything you need is easily accessible. One of the best parts has been the friendly and supportive environment — the staff are always helpful, approachable, and quick to resolve any issues. I’ve also met some great people here, which has made my uni experience even more enjoyable. The location is perfect, with easy access to campus and nearby shops, which makes day-to-day life really convenient. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during my studies. Definitely a 5-star experience!

Winfield Court in Nottingham has been an amazing place to live during my time at university. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained, making it really comfortable to come back to after a long day of lectures. The location is perfect—close to campus and local amenities, which makes everything so convenient. The staff are friendly and always quick to help with any issues. One quick way to judge the quality of a community is to look at its dirtiest areas. If you happen to pass by the apartment building's garbage station, you'll find the entrance overflowing with trash, reeking of garbage, and impossible to enter, even though there are several empty garbage cans inside. This undoubtedly exposes problems with the residents' behavior and the building's management. Over the past two months, without any prior notice, the apartment has experienced at least TEN intermittent water outages. The only measure this 600-person apartment complex has taken is occasionally providing bottled water at the front desk; there are no other remedial or compensatory measures, and they simply shift all responsibility to the water company. To this day, they cannot confirm whether the water supply problem has been fully resolved. Geographically, the apartment is in a very awkward location. If you happen to have classes on the Park campus, you'll spend an hour and a half commuting each day. Of course, the apartment has a free bus, which is one of its selling points, but the last bus departs from Park campus around 4:30 PM, while usually there are classes after that. If you want a quiet sleeping environment, at least after midnight without man-made noise, you'll often be woken up by outside noise after 12 PM. Although the apartment clearly states that no noise is allowed from 11 PM to 7 AM, it's to no avail. Even at 3 or 4 AM, people are still making loud, unrestrained noise intermittently. If you're unlucky enough to have a neighbor who likes to cramm their small room with people for parties, you'll live in constant vibration and unease. The management team is completely ineffective in these situations and may even question your judgment of noise levels. The refrigerators throughout the apartment are noisy; the compressors make a very noticeable noise from time to time, forcing you to be awake during the night. Yes, here, your rest time depends on the refrigerator; you don't deserve rest when the refrigerator is running. This is a warning to those who value their living and learning environment. Lastly, the only subjective sentence in this review: Don't book!

DO NOT BOOK!! I withdrew from university due to mental health struggles and a bereavement in my family. During this traumatic period, I was in communication with the previous management about my rent but never reached a conclusion, for which I take accountability as I was unable to communicate effectively. Later, I was contacted by the property regarding my remaining rent. I responded by email and phone but received no replies despite calling all the numbers provided. I was then referred to debt collectors, which I believe is unfair since I had been trying to resolve the issue. I visited the accommodation several times to speak to someone, but Winnie Li, the general manager, was never available. The resident manager said she had passed on my details to Winnie, but I still heard nothing. When I finally spoke to Winnie, she was disrespectful and unhelpful, saying I didn’t meet the criteria to terminate my contract—a decision not communicated to me since my email on May 15th. Essentially, my emails were ignored while I received generic responses. Winnie also dismissed my emails as insignificant and criticized the previous management, however the previous management responded to my emails efficiently, something the new management is incapable of doing . At the end of our conversation, she said I should contact the debt collectors, who would waive their added fees, but when I did, they said the client denied this. I have tried to contact anyone higher than Winnie, but an incredibly rude and ignorant resident advisor i believe his name to be Femi but i’m not sure told me everything must go through Winnie and laughed in my face when I asked to speak to someone else. I am devastated and disappointed by how Fresh Winfield Nottingham has treated me during such a difficult time—they have worsened my mental health and shown no consideration.

I’m sharing this review based on my personal experience as a current resident at Winfield Court Student Accommodation, and unfortunately my experience has been overwhelmingly negative. Since October, the water in my flat has repeatedly stopped working for entire days at a time. Throughout October, there were multiple occasions where there was no running water at all, and I was never given clear or reliable timeframes for when it would be restored. These issues continued throughout November, with the water still cutting off unpredictably. Now, even in December, the water remains unreliable and continues to turn off without warning. This situation has had a serious impact on my daily life. I’m dealing with both mental and physical health issues, and having consistent access to running water is essential for managing my wellbeing. I’ve also been unable to attend my place of worship because I cannot meet the minimum requirement of being clean and respectful by showering beforehand, which has affected me emotionally and spiritually. On top of this, I’ve spent over £100 on train tickets just to travel home for a simple shower and to make food, as I can’t rely on basic facilities in my accommodation. For accommodation costing nearly £8,000 per academic year, I don’t believe it’s acceptable to experience such ongoing and disruptive issues. I emailed management 24–48 hours ago regarding terminating my tenancy due to what I believe are multiple breaches of contract, but I still haven’t received any response. Last, but not least, i have had to lodge multiple complaints regarding a flatmate that has a flagrant disregard for anyone else who actually wants to sleep and chooses to consistently play loud, bass filled music through the night. These are between the hours of 1-7am and the management have told him 1 time out of my many complaints to turn the music down- of course to no avail. It's to the point where he has now got the same Doja Cat song on and has played it 14 times on a loop and i am severely struggling from sleep deprivation and my mental health is worsening as this is occurring every single night without fail. Overall, this has been an extremely stressful and difficult experience, and I hope future students are fully informed of these issues before committing to a contract.
