About this property
The place you live at university ends up influencing much more than your commute to lectures. It becomes where you wake up before morning classes, eat dinner after long library sessions, and spend evenings catching up with friends or working through assignments. Finding somewhere that keeps both campus and city life close by can make settling into a new place feel much easier.
Bowman House Nottingham sits on Talbot Street in the middle of the city, putting students close to universities, shops, cafés, supermarkets, and public transport. Instead of spending large parts of the day travelling from one place to another, most of the places students regularly visit are already nearby.
Address:
Student Castle Bowman House
100–102 Talbot Street
Nottingham NG1 5NH
United Kingdom
Living on Talbot Street means much of Nottingham feels accessible on foot. A quick grocery run, meeting friends in the city centre, grabbing lunch between lectures, or heading out in the evening rarely requires much planning.
Supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, entertainment venues, and transport connections sit within easy reach of Bowman House accommodation. Nottingham Railway Station and the city's bus and tram networks also remain nearby for students travelling across Nottingham or heading home during term breaks.
Students usually start appreciating their accommodation once university gets busy. The little things begin to matter more, like not needing two buses to reach campus or being able to grab dinner without planning an entire trip into town.
Here are a few reasons students consider Bowman House Nottingham:
Walk to Nottingham Trent University
The city campus sits only a few minutes away on foot. A shorter commute usually means a few extra minutes in bed before an early lecture and less time spent travelling back and forth every day.
Keep Your Own Routine
Every room at Bowman House student accommodation Nottingham is a private studio. You decide when to cook, study, sleep, or switch off for the evening without sharing facilities with other residents.
Keep Accommodation Costs Straightforward
Electricity, gas, water, Wi-Fi, and contents insurance already form part of the rent. There are no separate accounts to organise and no monthly utility bills arriving at different times.
Spend Time Somewhere Other Than Your Room
Most students eventually need a change of surroundings. Some head to the common room with friends, while others use the study areas for a few hours when sitting at the same desk starts to feel repetitive.
Have the Essentials Already Sorted
Bike storage, parcel collection, secure entry systems, and on-site maintenance may not seem important on move-in day, but they quickly become things you are glad to have during the year.
A student room gets used for far more than sleeping.
It becomes the place where assignments get finished at midnight, takeaway containers pile up during deadline season, and video calls home somehow last longer than planned.
Bowman House accommodation offers only studio apartments, so every resident has their own kitchen, bathroom, and study space.
Bronze Studio
A good option if you want a private studio while keeping accommodation costs lower.
Bronze Plus Studio
Offers slightly more room than the Bronze category and suits students who prefer a little extra space around them.
Silver Studio
Sits comfortably between the entry-level and larger studios, giving residents a balance of space and value.
Gold Studio
A practical choice if you expect to spend long periods studying in your room.
Platinum Studio
Provides additional living space that many students appreciate during assignment deadlines and exam periods.
Platinum Plus Studio
The largest studio at Bowman House Nottingham and suited to residents who simply enjoy having more room throughout the academic year.
University weeks rarely follow exactly the same schedule.
Some evenings disappear into coursework. Others involve meeting friends, watching a film, or finding somewhere different to sit for an hour.
The shared spaces around Bowman House give residents a few alternatives outside their studios.

These are the kinds of things most residents rarely notice day to day, but they become reassuring whenever something goes wrong.
One reason many students look at Bowman House Nottingham is its location close to both major universities in the city. Less time travelling usually means a little more flexibility in the day, whether that's sleeping a bit longer before an early lecture, fitting in a part-time job, or meeting friends after classes.
Students living at Bowman House Talbot Street Nottingham rarely need to spend a large part of their day commuting. Nottingham Trent University sits particularly close to the building, which is one reason Bowman House NTU remains a popular option among students studying at the city campus. Public transport also connects the accommodation with the University of Nottingham's campuses, making journeys relatively straightforward throughout the academic year.
No accommodation suits everybody in exactly the same way. Some students enjoy sharing kitchens and spending most of their time in communal spaces. Others prefer having somewhere entirely their own at the end of the day.
Bowman House Nottingham generally appeals to students who:
Study at Nottingham Trent University and want to stay within walking distance of lectures and campus facilities.
Prefer having a private kitchen and bathroom rather than sharing facilities with other residents.
Like the idea of living close to Nottingham's shops, cafés, restaurants, and entertainment venues.
Want accommodation costs to remain predictable with bills and Wi-Fi already included in the rent.
Spend a lot of time studying in their room and appreciate having their own space and routine.
Travel home during term breaks and find access to public transport useful.
Enjoy city-centre living and prefer having most places they regularly visit within walking distance.
Bowman House student accommodation Nottingham tends to attract students who value independence and convenience in equal measure. The location works particularly well for students who want campus and city life sitting within easy reach rather than relying on lengthy daily commutes.

If you’re looking for a place to stay where you can feel like you really have your own apartment while in uni, I can’t fault Bowman House. The staff are always lovely, always happy to help. Really good value when considering the great location too. Would recommend 100%
t
decent place for the price but the constant fire alarms (during the night, some lasting over 2 hours), the power cuts, the constant water issues, and the 'out of hours emergency and lockout' number thats disconnected and doesnt work means if you need help outside of mon-fri 9-5, youre not getting any.

Really nice bedrooms at a nice location, but a bit on the pricey end. Overall a good place to stay if you want peace of mind, although on one side there's a church which sometimes can become annoying because they sing for long periods of time and very repetitively. It's also nice hearing it sometimes

I spent 1 year living at Bowman House and I had a lovely experience in my studio. The room was clean and spacious, with a great location as it was so close to Nottingham city centre. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, especially Joel, a friendly face who would always go the extra mile to accommodate the residents. I will always look back at my university experience fondly living at Bowman House.

The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The staff is also lovely and helpful, I do want to give a special shout-out to Jackie who went above and beyond to help me with a problem I was having. Her determination and support through a hard time has been greatly appreciated. Sophie was also extremely welcoming and always had a smile on her face and remembered my name and past conversations, which was always lovely to come down to especially when feeling a bit lonely. The accommodation is quiet which was a big concern of mine. It is also only a 2 minute walk from city campus which is ideal. Don’t have any major complaints to share! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in city centre!
