United Kingdom
This central address places residents in one of London's most established university districts. Surrounded by academic institutions, museums, cafés and transport links, the property offers an excellent starting point for students who want to experience everything central London has to offer while keeping everyday travel to a minimum.
Bloomsbury has long been associated with education, literature and research. Walking through the neighbourhood, it's common to pass university buildings, independent bookshops, historic squares and students heading between lectures. Living here means becoming part of an area where academic life naturally blends into the rhythm of the city.
One of the biggest advantages of the location is how little travelling many students need to do. Russell Square Underground Station is only a short walk away, while Euston Underground and Rail Station provides connections across London and to destinations throughout the UK. Local buses also stop nearby, making it easy to reach other university campuses, shopping districts or cultural attractions without difficulty.
Students arriving from outside London often wonder about travelling from King's Cross to Bloomsbury Janet Poole House. The journey is straightforward, with King's Cross and St Pancras located only a short distance away by Underground, bus or even on foot, depending on how much luggage you're carrying. That convenience makes moving in at the beginning of term, or travelling home during holidays, much less stressful.
Daily essentials are equally easy to manage. Waitrose at The Brunswick Centre is nearby for grocery shopping, while the surrounding streets offer plenty of places to grab breakfast, lunch or dinner between lectures. Riding House Bloomsbury and Pho Russell Square are popular choices when meeting friends, and the cafés throughout The Brunswick Centre provide comfortable places to work outside your room for a few hours.
When you need a break from studying, Russell Square offers one of central London's most recognisable green spaces. Students often spend time there reading, having lunch outdoors or simply taking a walk after a busy day. Those who enjoy keeping active can also make use of PureGym London Bloomsbury, which is conveniently located nearby.
Academic resources are another major advantage of the neighbourhood. The British Library is within easy reach and remains one of the most valuable places for research, independent study and accessing specialist collections. University College Hospital is also nearby, offering reassurance that healthcare is readily available throughout the academic year.
Finding accommodation in central London often means balancing location, facilities and value. Bloomsbury Janet Poole House London brings those factors together, offering accommodation in an area where many students spend most of their university life both inside and outside the classroom.

Awful living environment and irresponsible housekeeping staffs. After futile efforts filing complaints to the accommodation team, their lack of action has left me with no choice but to write this honest review: They claim that there is housekeeping every day from Monday to Friday. However, in reality, the cleaner is usually only available a couple of days, and then he is absent for many days e.g. taking a whole week off, often leaving the whole house uncleaned for 2 consecutive weeks. He is frequently on annual leave (and he does so during times when there is a high need for cleaning) with NO ONE REPLACING his shift, which is unreasonable given the number of people needing his work daily. This leaves the trash bins full and the floors/tables uncleaned, growing pests and strange smells, with construction dust and dirt all over the carpets in the corridors. How irresponsible is that. The construction noise is killing me. Constructors have left so much dusts on my 19th-century big old windows that getting a breath of fresh air is often difficult. Everyday the four walls of my room vibrate with brutal noise. I woke up in the LOUD chatting and noises everyday at 8 AM and could only escape outside to find some peace. The construction work was said to be completed by February, but it is still ongoing now in April. Extremely unreliable and inefficient. As if we haven’t breathed in enough dust and paint from this construction site, they comfortably left the house uncleaned and untidied most of the time... They should find replacements to make up for the significant amount of missed housekeeping shifts. Unironically this is the bare minimum for any standard accommodation... I should not need to send countless emails chasing them up to do the housekeeping work they promised to provide. This is opposed to what I agreed on, and paid tens of thousands of pounds for! They really should have compensated me for all my sufferings from the noise and horrid conditions this year. There are countless other issues, such as failing to prevent homeless people from entering the house freely, leading to stolen food items of mine totalling around £15. However, the problem that haunted me for the longest time has been the inadequate housekeeping services and how little they care about keeping the house cleaned and well-maintained during this dust-inducing construction period. I am going to keep this reviews active and I will follow up on whether they're resolving these ongoing problems.

The accommodation is in a very convenient location, extremely close to the UCL campus. The golden twin room is spacious, and I haven’t experienced many maintenance issues during my stay so far.

To any new student coming in: Don’t. Please save your money. The quality of the services here i can not even begin to explain. You will regret spending your money here. Please find another accommodation which will be so much better. The location is not worth it. Here, the heating system does not work. There is no internal heating it gets really cold. There is no security on site. The building is literally just there for anyone to access. The showers, toilets everything is of very bad quality. The room is like its from the 1900s. Everything is of low quality. Please save your money. Don’t come here. You will regret it. They are overcharging for nothing, no quality nothing. Please don’t come here.
