About this property
The right accommodation can save you a lot of time during the academic year. Short walks to lectures, quick trips to the supermarket and reliable public transport all make daily life easier. Kelvin Court Glasgow gives you that advantage while putting you close to the city's West End, one of the most popular student areas in Glasgow.
The accommodation offers en-suite rooms in shared flats, giving you a private bedroom and bathroom while sharing the kitchen and lounge with your flatmates. Students looking for Kelvin Court student accommodation usually choose it because it offers a good balance between independent living and a social atmosphere.
Utility bills, Wi-Fi and contents insurance are already included in your rent, so there are fewer things to organise after moving in. Shared study spaces, outdoor courtyards and social areas give you extra room beyond your flat throughout the year.
Kelvin Court
30 Yorkhill Street
Glasgow G3 8RY
United Kingdom
Kelvin Court Glasgow sits between the University of Glasgow and Glasgow city centre, making it easy to reach campus, shops and public transport without travelling across the city.
Yorkhill Street bus stops are only a short walk away. Kelvinhall Subway Station and Partick Station also provide quick connections across Glasgow for lectures, part-time work or weekends around the city.
A convenient location usually becomes more valuable once lectures, coursework and part-time jobs all start filling your week.
Many students walk to campus in around 15 minutes, making daily travel straightforward.
Cafés, supermarkets, restaurants, parks and independent shops are all nearby, so most daily errands stay within walking distance.
Electricity, gas, heating, water, high-speed Wi-Fi and contents insurance are included in your rent.
Residents have access to study rooms, a common room, outdoor courtyards and shared social spaces throughout the accommodation.
Laundry facilities, bike storage, printing services and vending machines help cover everyday needs without leaving the building.
CCTV, secure door entry, on-site staff and a maintenance team help keep the accommodation secure and well maintained.
Every room at Kelvin Court student accommodation comes furnished with a ¾ double bed, study desk, storage space and a private en-suite bathroom. Kitchens and living areas are shared with a small number of flatmates.

Room prices may vary depending on contract length and availability.
Your rent already covers the main household expenses, making it easier to budget throughout the academic year.
The accommodation includes shared spaces where you can study, relax or spend time with other residents.
A long commute usually becomes annoying after the first couple of weeks. Kelvin Court keeps most university journeys fairly short, which is why it attracts students studying across Glasgow's West End and city centre.
The popular Kelvin Court Classic Ensuite appeals to many University of Glasgow students because the daily journey stays short enough to walk on good days and catch a bus when the weather turns.
Most journeys begin on foot. Bus stops, subway stations and cycle routes are all nearby, so travelling across Glasgow rarely needs much planning.
Kelvinbridge and Hillhead stations connect the West End with Buchanan Street in roughly ten minutes. Plenty of students use the Subway Smartcard throughout the year.
First Bus services run along nearby routes from early morning until late evening. Regular buses head towards the University of Glasgow, Glasgow city centre and several other campuses.
Bike storage is available inside Kelvin Court student accommodation in Glasgow, making cycling a practical option throughout the academic year. Voi e-bikes are another option if you don't own a bicycle.
The Young Scot Card gives eligible residents under 22 free bus travel across Scotland. ZoneCards are useful if your journey includes both buses and the subway.
Parking spaces are available in limited numbers and are allocated on a first-come basis.
Life outside lectures usually comes down to familiar places. After a few weeks, you'll probably visit the same supermarket, order from the same takeaway and stop at the same café before class.
Weekly shopping doesn't require travelling across Glasgow.
Coffee before lectures becomes a habit for plenty of students. The West End also has enough restaurants for everything from quick lunches to birthday dinners.
A free afternoon doesn't always need a plan. Plenty of students end up walking through these spots, especially when the weather is decent.
Forgot your charger? Need new trainers? Picking up groceries before heading back? Most shopping trips usually end up around these parts.
Deadlines have a habit of creeping up. When your flat gets too noisy, these libraries are easy places to spend a few focused hours.
Skipping the gym because it's too far rarely becomes an excuse here. You have a few good options within easy reach.
Nobody plans to visit a pharmacy or hospital, but it's useful to know where they are before you actually need them.
Ask anyone after their first semester, and they'll probably remember the little things more than the room itself. The café they visited before morning lectures. The supermarket they stopped at on the walk home. The quickest bus back after an evening on campus. That's where Kelvin Court Glasgow works well. The universities, shops and everyday essentials all fit naturally into student life without adding extra travel to your day. If you've been reading Kelvin Court Manchester reviews, make sure you're looking at the Glasgow property instead—it's the West End location that keeps appearing in student feedback for good reason.

actually wonderful- my room was super clean and has a nice big bed and light, and everything i need really! kitchen is also huge with sofas and a breakfast bar sorta thing, and two fridges. and the communal space is really nice! plus only 10 mins walk from a big tesco and 20 mins to the rail station and morrisons, so idk what the other review was on about? there's also a lift, rooms use key cards and feel modern, and laundry is via circuit which is the same as what my uni (oxford) does lol. oh and there's wifi and a tv j can watch the F1 on, literally perfect honestly 10/10 would recommend

Tip top, after minor blunder in mid shift change of guard at welcome counter, all went swimmingly well. Lots of trolley dolly's to help moving in,lots of helpers on to help out ,what's not to like.

Overall this place just seems a bit tired. Another thing is the heat, there is constant under floor heating which cannot be turned off and the windows are safety locked at 2 inches. Basically they have created rooms that unbearably hot with windows that won’t open. I’d stay away from this place if you can.

Arrived late for the start of the University, so couldn't get a uni dorm, which as it turns out was for the best. The staff at Kelvin Court are hands down some of the best people ever gathered under one roof, extremely helpful and will go out of their way to help you! The room was clean, and immaculate in almost all regards. A little expensive if you book late, but in the end its a 5 minute walk from Byres Road and 10 from the UofG. Excellent student Halls.

Place is nice and quiet, and there's always a common room to mingle with other people studying at the nearby Unis! There are quite a few local amenities as of this post (Tesco, Restaurants, Music and Bicycle Shops) and I would gladly recommend anyone to come stay at the accommodation.
