RocRooms, rochester-ny

I had a good experience renting from RocRooms as an international student. The management responded quickly to issues and requests, and the process was generally very straightforward. The property included a fairly comprehensive range of basic furniture and kitchen items which considerably simplified my first months in the US. There was a relatively high turnover of other tenants over the course of a year, but they were always respectful and affiliated with either UR or RIT.

RocRooms offers great rooms that are private and within walking distance from Universities. No complaints with the kitchen or living rooms or services provided. The housecleaning kept the shared area very clean - worth the service. As for the rooms themselves, they are excellent for the price and the tenant is always willing to negotiate the contracts. 10/10 experience as a college student.

Hello. I spent about 6 years with RocRooms while I got my bachelor's and master's degree at the University of Rochester. My own experience with RocRooms has been pretty consistently great. They were always prompt and attentive and understanding. No complaints here. I think they are probably the best student housing company in Rochester. Other companies tend to run student housing like slum lords. But RocRooms always had great professionalism and attention to detail in my opinion. I don't really have any horror stories to share. I think they are awesome. Although like the previous poster I do miss Holden, and I liked the way he ran things. (Bring back Holden please.) He was always fair with me and funny to correspond with. I've heard mixed reviews about this new company they are working with, Eastman Property Management. But I've personally never had a problem with them. All in all, I think RocRooms is as good as it gets in Rochester for student housing. I would definitely rent with them again, and I would recommend them with complete confidence to anyone I know.

I rented from RocRooms for two years at two separate locations! They have super responsive regarding all my housing concerns and had to taken it care of relatively soon. Similarly, the staff is highly professional when it comes to collecting rent and are transparent in all their fees. Highly recommend!

RocRooms management was very responsive to all our needs while staying at one of their properties. I appreciated the monthly cleanings of common areas and they were very supportive for someone who had no prior experience of renting.
