I’ve had a wonderful experience with Hudson Oakland. The management team is extremely kind, professional, and prompt. I recently made a maintenance request because I noticed a spot on my ceiling. They immediately had someone over to assess the issue and have already taken care of it . As a first time renter, Marissa and Leanne have made my experience as stress free as possible and constantly go above and beyond. I highly recommend Hudson Oakland!

Hudson Oakland has the best management and team that I have ever rented from (and I have rented for the last 15 years) - What the Hudson group is doing in Pittsburgh speaks to the service and volume of people that want to rent from them. The inside of our apartment was exactly as described - clean and updated - They care about the building as they are constantly performing updates and working on everything. The maintenance team is nothing but helpful - always happy and willing to help. Very excited to extend my rental agreement with them and look forward to what else the group will build in Pittsburgh!

MICE EVERYWHERE Unprofessional staff who will yell at you when you ask them to come fix the issue. It’s actually terrible for the price. Laundry never works, and they snear ag you when you ask for a refund. One of them literally told me to start going to the laundry mat near by ( instead of FiXING the laundry even though I have put in maintenance requests since January for those). This place could not get more pathetic, unprofessional, and disgusting for the money they steal away from you. SAVE YOUR SELF!!

It’s not a bad apartment aside from everything that can possibly go wrong. The lights sometimes work, the bathroom shelving is poor quality and the whole place seems cheap. On top of that there is a giant opening between our two windows that maintenance refuses to fix. I assuming it’s because it’s too much work for them to fix. My electricity bill has sky rocketed as the apartment barely ever cools down. I will never be renting from Hudson Oakland again. Edit: This place still sucks. You can definitely find a better place for cheaper elsewhere in Oakland. Do yourself a favor & do not rent from here. Edit 2: THEY ARE ASKING $2200 FOR THIS PLACE NEXT YEAR. IT IS NOT WORTH ANYTHING CLOSE TO THAT. PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM HUDSON OAKLAND AT ALL!

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. In a nutshell: Hudson Oakland is nothing but poor management, poor service, & a complete rip off too (our rent was raised about $700 more in just a year despite all the problems I'm about to mention). The inside of the apartment is the definition of the “landlord special” - literally everything is painted over versus cleaned throughly. They were still even painting on my move in date (despite telling me the apartment was ready). In the bathroom, our bathtub caulking was never sealed so grime leaked out. Our kitchen floors were also uneven and sloped downwards. Not to mention my roommate's car was TOWED DESPITE PAYING FOR HER PARKING SPOT. On top of that, the ENTIRE building of 3229 Joe Hammer Square has a RODENT/PEST PROBLEM (residents were literally bringing cats in to deal with this)!!! Maintenance was also pretty rude and pushy - again if the whole apartment has a pest problem you shouldn’t be surprised that residents keep submitting maintenance requests to deal with them! Also, their “emergency” number JUST GOES STRAIGHT TO VOICEMAIL - I was locked out late one night and called multiple times with not one call back. Lastly, the laundry/dryer machines WILL NOT ACTUALLY DRY YOUR CLOTHES ON THE FIRST CYCLE. I don’t know if this a resident issue or just because of the South Oakland area; but if you like to order food get your delivery handed off to you or your order will be snatched. Lastly, I have no good things to say about their management. They are incredibly unprofessional and sneaky. No one answers their landline number and if you are renting with roommates - be prepared for them to email only one person versus notifying everyone in the apartment. We also had issues with them showing off our apartment to large groups despite our concerns of COVID etc. and not even locking our door afterwards!
