The Social Blue is everything that we could ask for our son when he attends MTSU. Our tour guide, Madi, was great - very informative, polite and energetic. The apartments are very nice and spacious, also the complex has many amenities as well as shuttle service and roommate matching.

I would rate this two stars because they have a nice gym, and even then all the treadmills but one or two have been broken on and off since November. Otherwise, it is completely disgusting and because of that I have to give it one star. Don’t bother moving here unless you want to have previous tenants hairs half-painted into the walls, laundry and dishes left in the unit at move-in, soft spots on the vinyl flooring, and constant roaches that don’t go away with unit-only extermination. This place NEEDS to be exterminated in between leases for the ENTIRE building. My cat keeps eating them when I am at work or school and it is effecting her health and my wallet because I am having to pay for her medication. Unit-only extermination requests do not work. Ever since I moved here I have never felt completely clean no matter how much I clean the apartment, which is usually daily. Also when I moved in there was no lock on the front door, and even after they fixed it on move-in day it’s still extremely flimsy. I could probably knock it down if I tried hard enough. Doesn’t make me feel super safe as a young woman only living with other women that are younger than me. The first few months after move in my window fell completely out of the wall 3 times within a week (at night two of the times!!) and crashed onto irreplaceable family keepsakes I kept on my nightstand and broke them. I rearranged my whole room setup just to make sure nothing would be damaged if the window fell out again. I can’t imagine if that happened to me on the first floor and a stranger could just climb into my bedroom! Even after they came and fixed my window from falling out I was still having horrible issues with leaking when it rained. My entire carpet would be soaking wet. And, they market it to be a student housing complex, yet it is more workforce adults and families than it is students. While this is not the fault of the apartment, it’s not great to go to sleep to families arguing and screaming at their kids multiple times a week. The bus is also broken somewhat often so if you’re relying on that to get to school don’t. For full disclosure I am not living in the “renovated” version of their complex, if these issues aren’t prevalent in the renovated apartments and I knew that when signing I definitely would’ve paid the extra $70 a month to not have these issues. However, much of it is probably the same. The apartments themselves are horrible, do not live here. I have friends that used to live here and ended their lease early for similar issues. To end on a good note and at least give them some credit, the amenities like hammocks, volleyball, grills, walking path, picnic tables, and gym are all extremely nice. I use them all the time. They also have very frequent community events and giveaways (like food in the lobby, seasonal events, technology/cleaning supplies/gift card giveaways) that are very nice and I appreciate. The staff are also very nice so I feel bad even leaving this review but I really have not enjoyed living here at all. My advice would be to cut back on spending for the amenities and focus on the apartment quality. Photos are of my window falling out of the wall.

We recently toured The Social Blue and had such a positive experience thanks to Cade in the leasing office. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and professional from start to finish. He took the time to walk us through everything, answered all of our questions clearly, and made the entire process feel comfortable and stress-free. You can tell he genuinely cares about helping people and creating a good experience. Cade left us with a really great impression of both him and The Social Blue. Definitely appreciate all of his help!

Roommates are dirty, same dishes in the sink been here since I moved in last month. There’s tires in the living room. Doesn’t matter what time it is. It can be midnight or 4 am. You will hear the laundry being done, with the dryer not being able to fully dry it, it takes 6hrs on one load. Funny enough they put my room right next to the washer and dryer. They will walk into the living room just blasting music from there phones at night. That bag of trash been there also since I moved in
