I sadly found this reviews to late. This is for the property group that lead to this apartment unit. I moved in a little over 2 weeks ago and immediately they took until noon to give me access throwing off the entire moving day and making things harder. It took me 3 months to get into contact with them in the first place since i had originally inquired about the house in the beginning of December. I couldn't enter the house until a roommate cleaned it because everything was coated in grass and I'm allergic. My unit has a basement unit that i don't have access to and I'm being told its my problem to rid an area i don't have access to of rodents. They have a maintenance guy who invades personal space and ignore it. And just in general refuse to communicate

Let’s talk about a great first impression. How is it that a property management company calls and offers you an appointment to show you 2 houses that you are considering renting from them, but not show up or have enough respect to extend a call knowing they were going to be late? 10 minutes after our scheduled appointment time we decided to call. Cheyenne answered the phone and we let her know that we were at the provided address and had an appointment. She then informed us that she “ could be there in 10 minutes…” which ended up making her 30 minutes late. She exited her car and didn’t acknowledge or say 1 word to us. She walked straight up to the house and unlocked the door. She then gave a quick “oh I’m sorry I was coming back from Anderson” and proceeded to tell us that the house “wasn’t ready” and that she needed to “contact a contractor tomorrow”. Never mentioned this info when SHE made the appointment with us for the showing. We walked a few steps in, turned around and walked right back out. The house was bad. It was empty. It had a roach infestation. There were FULL nasty fly traps hanging from each ceiling. We let her know that this house wasn’t going to work out and we were ready to move on to the next house. Her reply was “what was that address again, I hope it’s not the one I rented this morning”. But it was. How are you going to schedule appointments (one that YOU chose)- but rent it out to someone else prior and not communicate this to it? Had it not been for us calling, she would have been a no show and I guarantee she would have never reached out to us. I left work early for this appointment, too. Our time was wasted and disregarded. Today’s actions showed what type of company this is. So very unprofessional and no regard or respect for others. I couldn’t imagine being committed to a lease with Cedars and find out after the fact that this is how they run things. I guess in a way she saved me from making a HUGE mistake.

Been in house for less than a week, landlord refused to acknowledge pest problem, refusing to acknowledge HVAC problem. They didn't clean anything. They will not be getting rent until EVERYTHING IS FIXED. And if EVERYTHING is not fixed we will move without warning. Absolutely total slum lords.

It was the worst place I ever had to live in for reasons: 1. The apartment was very old and poorly-maintained. 2. Bugs were able to get in through doors, windows, and the AC. 3. The management was/is not student-friendly. They did not help me when I wanted to sublease the apartment. Instead, they kept bringing other residents to other apartments around me. 4. Electricity bill was high. They told me it would not exceed 50 to 60$ a month. I paid 150 to 170$ a month from Dec to Mar. 5. Their on-site laundry machines were very very VERY old and unpractical in cleaning. 6. Floors were old, too. 7. taps were rusty, and the water sink had a big hole in it, and they refused to replace it. I could go on for ages and not be able to describe how unpleasant it was for me. The reason why I got the apartment in the first place was because of their ad on their website. They showed their apartments in perfect pictures, and I was deceived by it, and rented it online. I am never going back there, and I am gonna tell everybody I know of how it was hilariously stupid of me to go there.

Lived here for two years while my fiance attended grad school at BSU. Small apartment for two people but they're one bedroom apartments so we knew what we were getting in to. Close walk to campus and quiet. Internet is included in the rent. We never paid over $20 for electric a month. Any concerns we had were addressed promptly by Dan, the property manager. He's a younger guy and great at getting back to you. Even let us shovel during the winter to make some extra cash. Laundry room on site that could use some new machines, but we never had issues. Great location and close to everything. Breakfast place next door (Eva's Pancake House) is incredible. Would live here again if in the Muncie area.
