After living in this building for several years, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the management team. They are consistently professional, responsive, and attentive to residents’ needs. Whenever an issue arises or assistance is required, it is handled promptly and efficiently, with clear communication throughout the process. Management does an excellent job enforcing building policies and maintaining order, which contributes to a strong sense of safety and trust. The team is proactive, well-organized, and clearly committed to keeping the property at a high standard. It is reassuring to live in a community where the staff is engaged, aware of what is happening throughout the building, and genuinely cares about residents’ well-being. Another standout aspect is the cleanliness. The building is consistently spotless, and the cleaning staff deserves special recognition for maintaining common areas that always look and smell fresh. The overall environment reflects pride in upkeep and attention to detail. The one area that does not reflect these otherwise excellent standards is the laundry room. Unfortunately, the machines appear poorly maintained, with visible mold in the detergent drawers (the compartment where detergent is added) and a persistent musty odor. This raises concerns from a hygiene and health perspective, especially in a space where residents clean their clothing. At times, the odor is strong enough to cause headaches, and there is understandable worry about potential long-term health effects or mold transferring to freshly washed clothes. In addition, some washers do not clean effectively, and several dryers do not dry properly. Given the building’s otherwise exceptional cleanliness, safety, and management, improving the laundry facilities would make a significant difference and bring this amenity in line with the high standards maintained throughout the rest of the property. Overall, I am very grateful for the dedication of the management team and feel fortunate to live in a well-run, safe, and carefully maintained community.

I just wanted to take the time to say that after my 2 years of living here that I’ve never been happier. The difference between living at the dorms versus Aspire was night and day. When I first walked in my apartment was modern and contemporary and my experience was forever changed when I walked into my bathroom and the I was greeted with my mirror lighting up. Not to mention the amenities that come with living at this complex from a jacuzzi to the terrace rooftop. One of my favorite things to do having lived on the fourth was walking to the glass panel bridges overlooking the pool and just feeling the breeze wash over me as I overlook the gorgeous view at night with the lights. After a long day I’m able to destress with a view that is reminiscent of a Beverly Hills hotel. But above all I can’t praise Victoria Gaskins the leasing manager enough. From day one and even now when I’m a current resident here she has always been welcoming and always greeted me with a smile. She was happy and able to give a smooth transition from when I started at rent by the bed to my private room and ultimately my own apartment. The way she maintains and upkeeps Aspire apartments is reminiscent of a mama bear catering her cubs, always making sure it’s tended to and always finding ways to improve the quality of life here. Overall I don’t regret my decision moving from the dorms to living at aspire and I will continue to enjoy my stay here until I graduate my senior year

Deceitful and poor quality staff, extremely loud living conditions. I posted this review several times and it was repeatedly taken down by Google. Lived in this place for one year and got out as soon as I could as my upstairs neighbor was extremely loud. Despite the PM upon moving in insisting that residents rarely cause noise violations due to the heavy fines laid out in the lease, after making several noise complaints the only response was ever, we can’t really take your word for it you should call security. And calling security would do nothing. The apartment has been adding new fines and fees since I moved in and it got absolutely out of control, such as new transaction fees, rising utility costs, and most recently, they decided to steal my entire security deposit and charge me on top of it due to absurdly minor marks on the walls which could not possibly cost the amount they claimed to fix, which by the way is illegal in CA and they surely are aware of this, but after calling Victoria she says this is their blanket policy for everyone and she doesn't know any better. Literally any chance they get they will fine you, apparently its their policy to just steal your deposit. Of the staff, the junior member Arman who answered the phone almost every time I called gave me zero accurate pieces of information in the year that I lived there, he would give wrong information or tell me to call later when the senior staff was there any time I had a question about their absurd and myriad billings. The senior staff member though overly nice at first, is a very rude and deceitful person. For instance, we were moving a very large and heavy couch out through the lobby before we moved out, we asked for a dolly and she brought us a 2x2 wooden plank dolly with janky wheels, where a few days later when we were moving out we asked for a dolly from a maintenance staff member and she brought us from the same closet a 350 kg-limit full size metal dolly. Later when I was trying to find out if they were going to steal my deposit (which they did), after saying I’d hear in 2-3 days after move-out and it’d been over two weeks, she was ducking my calls for days, until I called with my boyfriend’s phone and then she answered on the first ring. Upon moving out we were not given a space to put our truck and had to carry our stuff across four lanes of traffic because they refused to move their van that sits outside and can easily be parked in the garage, where the truck is too large for the garage. The one bedrooms were nice but it is very difficult to afford as a student and required working an excessive amount for me personally on top of my studies, which I was still able to complete with high honors. But whenever I was able to be home from work or classes, my upstairs neighbor was without fail stomping around, vacuuming daily for hours for some reason with a very old and heavy vacuum, rearranging furniture, fighting with the dog, etc, with dogs and loud music on either side and below our room as well. I would not recommend living here. Picture: Some of the photos of their inspection of the "minimal scuff marks" that allegedly cost them $400 to paint over, which were here when we moved in. Lying thieves.

Great location! Nice and convenient area with entertainment perks. The Aspire is most definitely aspiring after 4yrs. This place is nice for dorm like environment but the false accusations towards tenants(I have proof)are more than overwhelming. Between the fire alarms going off too much and the insinuations from Victoria I can no longer chance losing another child from pregnancy stress. She seemed like such a pleasant person until she reels you in. The laundry situation is terrible(always dog hair in washers and dryers (if they're not out of service, or glitching taking your money) and trash room ALWAYS closed for some issue while fees increase often; so STOP raising trash fees if tenants don't have FULL access. Victoria forces you to litter trash down the street at chilis alley(which the manager doesn't like) or you'll get a $500 fee(I have proof). Aspire staff constantly comes up with new fees(I have proof). We have security(never the same guard) but still don't allow door deliveries. I have emailed Victoria and she either replies late or doesn't respond at all(I have proof). People that have lived here and made reviews get told by Aspire "They have no knowledge of the tenant". The elevators are always having technical issues(Maintenance has blamed it on cheap labor). My bathroom ceiling leaks when the AC is used; I've told Victoria and she sends a worker that talks about how poorly the building is designed and doesn't really fix things throughly. The walls are very thin (I've heard some pretty strange conversations lol), I just keep my tv on when neighbors make noise no biggie. The pool is cleaned at a hit and miss, I stopped letting my son use it after 1st year being here. The gym is really nice and the rooftop view at night is amazing. Overall experience is 50/50 due lack of privacy, professionalism and lack of accountability from property manager Victoria Gaskins. I refuse to live in an environment where you are treated like a child, I have 3 of my own. I should've known she was a scammer when she admitted to painting the red emergency curve to grey(definitely wasn't city approved). Rent at your own risk. #DontLikeBullies #UncomfortableLiving #JustBeingHonest

It all started looking for an apartment for my son. He was an entering Freshman at CSUN and was waitlisted as number 1375 for the dorms. With 2 weeks before school begins he was still far on the wait list. He saw these apartments and asked me to take a look at them while he was at his orientation. Arman gave me the tour. Beautiful inside and out. Out of desperation I took it. When I applied he told me the room/apartment was $1500 (plus can’t rent the exact price). Once we got the email we were approved no response. A week passed and I had my son reach out. He told my son that the same apartment was going for $2000 something. I told him no email him and ask about the one for $1500 something that we applied for and was approved for. He did and all of a sudden that apartment is no longer available and we ended up with one that was $1795. I should have not taken it due to this but it wasn’t any other apartments locally that had vacancies. We lived about 2 hrs away and commuting is not an option. Any who no issues until move out. Don’t wasted your time cleaning up after you leave because they are going to take your little deposit. Yes the floor was messed up. But it’s cheap carpet not easy to clean. And the other minor stuff I wasted money on paying someone to clean. So he moved out mid July and we were so a security deposit refund. Here we are in November and I’m still waiting on our security deposit back. They want to say this and that wasn’t on file when my child has been up there multiple times because they asked him to come there and they never said anything. Hopefully, this gets to corporate and they will finally send the security because emailing them is like talking to a brick wall and the phone just rings. I’ve seen they responded to other people reviews about defamation and other stuff but I can say that the part about security deposit not being returned in 30 days is absolutely true. I’m 4 months in and still waiting. I guess my next step is to go file a lawsuit for my deposit. RENTERS BEWARE! If they do respond they will say this person in the profile never rented from us. No the name hasn’t and no I’m not hiding behind a profile. Read my review on YELP and with the BBB.
