I would describe my experience living here as a nightmare. In 2022 we moved in and the place was trashed. Once again, I’ll let the pics speak for themselves. Aside to cleaning filth and fecal matter off the wall there were simple fixes that needed attending to, that a normal landlord would address and all we got was “Sorry, there’s nothing we can do.” I posted this review prior and the complex reached out and begged us to take down for a $100 gift card. I am reposting because they are now trying to charge us for the damages we had to move into and asked them several times to fix. Please let this post serve as a warning and run away as fast as you can.

Only reason this has one star is for the student workers who do their best to help you. The worst rental I've had in Indiana. They delete maintenance request without doing them and charge you for stuff you didn't do. My bathroom was flooded out (after asking for it to be looked at for 3 months) because of women products in the toilet it took them 3 days to get it fixed and then proceeded to charge me for it I am not a woman or were there any women in my apartment. My carpet was also soaked for a week and a half without them professionally cleaning it or changing it. They try to charge you for everything and give wrong information about billing, I ended up paying about $400-$500 extra than what was in my lease. Save yourself the hassle and find someplace else to live.

Honestly, I'm only providing a two-star rating because my apartment itself is very nice. I love the high ceilings, windows, and location of the unit. Otherwise, there is A LOT that needs to be improved as far as management, staff, and maintenance goes at Campus Connections/The Verge/The Verge II. My HVAC unit has not been cooling my apartment correctly since move-in. It ran non-stop on the day of move-in, and the temperature in my apartment never changed. Instead, it just blew hot air around and drove up my electric bill to keep the fan running. I submitted numerous complaints to the office, and I was told it would be addressed and fixed. I was told the fan was broke on the roof and that it would be addressed by an outside company. The regional manager even stated that it would be fixed. Well, guess what, it's a month later and I still don't have a functioning HVAC unit. In fact, it's currently 82+ degrees in my apartment. I purchased fans at my own expense to try to make it comfortable in here, but it mostly just blows hot air around the unit. I work and study at home a lot, so it's very uncomfortable living in an apartment that is suppose to have a forced air cooling system included as part of my rent. The front staff at the desk (especially on weekends) are frequently uninformed and confused about issues occurring on the properties. At move-in, Mid-town was an ABSOLUTE disaster. There was trash, dead leaves, and dirt all over the common areas of the property. The laundry room had old couches, dressers, overflowing garbage bins, and dust everywhere. I also had a non-functioning key for my "storage closet", which took over 4 weeks to replace. I had broken appliances, stains on furniture, etc. at move-in. I ended up fixing some things on my own because it was taking so long to correct. I also never received my "incentive", which was suppose to be given to me within 30 days of move-in. Instead, I get a canned run-around that it comes from corporate. I really hope things improves to make the living experience better for the residents. I really would love to stay in my apartment because I love the location/views, but so far I'm not very pleased with how the property is managed. Please stop focusing so much on promotions and incentives, and work on improving the living experience for the people who already pay to live here!

I’ve been living at Elm by Traverse Commons since the beginning of this semester and so far I love it! It’s a great first apartment with nice spacious bedrooms and not to mention the walk in closets and private bathrooms! It definitely feels like home away from home. Elm comes with all amenities and is nice that you don’t have to pay for laundry. My roommates and I also like to utilize the pool and sand volleyball when it is nice outside.

My family lived at Traverse Commons for a short period of time in 2021 after selling our home while waiting for the right house to come on the market. We enjoyed our time here. From the very beginning, Jamie Ball was so helpful in showing us options, giving us information on what is included, what offerings are provided by the facility, and the amenities provided to us as tenants. I loved the unit we rented, which included a bathroom in each bedroom (my kids were huge fans of having their own personal bathrooms as well), and the large closet spaces. We never had to worry about anything while living here. Maintenance was always quick to handle anything that needed attention, like a lightbulb being out etc. They are constantly updating their units, and care to make sure their tenants have a comfortable and safe place to live. I've recommended this property to friends for the easy rental process and amazing staff.
