The Landing at Marshall University, huntington-wv

I lived here for two years. This was the best I could hope for in a first apartment far from home. The rent was one of the best prices around, plus having utilities included up front in the rent cost saved a lot of headache. I rented out a single bedroom in a 2 bedroom and shared that apartment with two other roommates over my time at The Landing. The roommate matching system did a great job as I had no issues over my stay there! I also enjoyed how clean and secure the whole building was, which played big factors for choosing my new apartment as I have since moved out of state. The best part about living at the landing is the staff and how amazing they are at helping people navigate the apartment system and just being good people to everyone there! I definitely recommend this apartment building to anyone!

The Fairfield Landing apartments are amazingly clean, secure, and accessible! We recently rented a two-bedroom unit for our folks who needed a temporary place to stay while looking for a house. Tracey Eggleston and her team made sure they were welcomed with open arms and had everything they needed! We used the apartment as a worry-free home base during this transition and even managed to have several fun family gatherings and dinners thanks to the great space and full kitchen options available to renters. We've highly recommended the Landing to colleagues and friends and hope to entice future visiting faculty and grads to take advantage of the top-notch facility.

I thought this place was good. I was wrong. If I could give it a zero star, I would. It is overpriced with very little benefits. The only good thing is that all utilities are included but that gets overtaken by the price and the way the management treats you. I don't know how this place has a 5 star rating other than the fact that it is new. So I advise you to find a better place before making the same mistake I did. I'd you try to break your lease, it's impossible no matter the circumstance. Plus, the maintenance worker and the lease manager won't get out of each other's business long enough to help anybody who needs it. They seem nice at first like all land lords that want your money but it's all a rouse. It's basically living at a regular marshall dorm. You can't even decorate without getting charged. This place is just a money grab that Marshall is always wanting.

We recently experienced the worst ice storm to hit our area. We lost power/heat and had 2 trees fall on our house. Our family of 4 luckily had a small generator enough to heat one room and run the refrigerator. All of the local hotels filled up quick and most did not allow pets or had limits on pets. We foster and rescue and had 2 cats and 5 dogs and in the one heated room in our home we were all freezing and miserable. The Marshall University Landing apartments opened their doors to not only its community but welcomed our pets as well. Everyone we met was accommodating and friendly. The apartment was a clean 2 bedroom WARM ;) home away from home when we needed it most. We truly appreciate The Landing being there for us when we needed it most.
