I love it here so much I already renewed my lease. The lobby always stay so clean, it smells great, and all the staff members are SO nice. When I say all I mean ALL (Malik, Josh, Ola, Morgan, and Ashley). They attend to all residents in an efficient way and do it with a great attitude. I’ve yet to have a bad experience with them, and I don’t think I will. They also host events like pool parties, ice cream bar, breakfast, waffle bars, etc.. I 100% recommend Haven if you live at TSU or UH, if you just want to come home and relax and not worry about anything, this is the place.

I have lived here for 2 years and Haven has gotten no better, if not worse. Recently there was a power outage over break and there was no notification of it. When I returned to my unit after a 3 week break the fridge was infested with gnats and maggots. I went to the office expressing my concern and they completely turned me away and suggested that I clean it myself or they would send their mediocre cleaning crew to clean it. According to the health department the amount of infestation would not be able to be removed by cleaning and it is suggested to replace the whole fridge itself. They refused to listen even though it is a health code violation. They also do not take care of the property what so ever. The tenants are able to let their animals use the restroom ANYWHERE (including the hallways, stairwells, and elevators) and face no repercussions. The management is extremely rude and dismissive. If you can live anywhere else… DO IT.

If I could give it a 0 star I would. This place is so ghetto and dirty. They have roaches and alarms that never turns off when it goes off. This is student housing but yet the studies rooms are NEVER open and yall never wanna help students out if they need a piece of paper to print. Why don’t y’all have a printer for students and then when you go to the office and ask if you could print something they say “oh we don’t print” but yall have a printer. This place sucks and it’s not safe too many out side people can easily have access people be getting robbed and cars be getting broken into. With the price it’s not worth it you just better off getting you a one bedroom one bathroom for a better price.

I went to the leasing office and talked to Malik and he was so amazing. He answered all of my questions and then some. He made the whole process so smooth, he was definitely a factor in me and my roommates wanting to sign the lease. His customer service was astonishing!

Thanks to leasing porfessionals Adrian and Morgan walking me through the process, I was able to move in about 2 weeks ago. if you can't get ahold of the higher ups in the leasing office. I would prefer only going to them if you need anything honestly. My personal experience so far has been great despite the bad reviews. It is affordable and it is a nice place to live short-term. If you are a student with a stable income and no rental history, this place is not too bad and a good place to start. Just be mindful of management and the area surrounding the apartments. I came from an apartment that was much more exspensive plus the living space was terrible so to me this is an upgrade. The only bad experience is the residents complaing how horrible it is to live here and I do not blame them, I am just the type of person to experience things for myself. They also did improve on some things people were complaining about such as the trash situation. Every time I put out trash they made sure to pick up for me no problem. However, i will give the personal feeback that I have come across: for one, I don't appreciate the customer service and the cmmmunications between whoever is at the front desk and the residents. If there is someone at the front desk, they are usually a student and aren't great help. Which to me is very unprofessional if they really care about improving these reviews. If you are going to have a receptionist at the front, make sure they have empathy and can actually assist residents with whatever they need. Also, I heard that they have a tendency to add random fees to the monthly rent which hasnt happen to me yet but I am letting anyone kow ahead of time in case that does happen to me. Finally, They do not give a heads up to the current residents about new roomates. Which I think is important to let residents know if a new person is living in their space. Luckily I took it upon myself to introduce myself to the current residents beforehand. but they should already do that. At least a notice on a door. I will definitely update this review if more things come about. i am really trying to give this place a chance. I definitely will give a five star if my experience at Haven continues to improve! Thank You, Tyann
