Copper Country Rentals, houghton-mi

I rent from Copper Country /Trailside every year and the machines are always in great shape and ready to go. The lobby is clean and helpful with various riding accessories if needed. They’re so friendly - thank you Copper Country/Trailside!

Jon was very quick to respond to our initial contact that was made and has been ever since. We came up for preview weekend and asked if it was possible to view an apartment that had the same layout that we rented and he made it happen. Jon has been quick to return my text messages and very helpful. After meeting Jon and talking to him we feel very confident that our kiddo has a great landlord.

I heard really good things about Jon and that's what drew me to some of his listings for the apartments. Especially since he had fair pricing, and decent looking places. However, after over a week of trying to contact Jon in multiple ways and only ever getting one email I gave up. Not only that, but the unit I was interested in and got a response about was apparently already rented out even though I asked literally the morning after it was posted. To this date said listing is still up. If this unresponsive behavior was due to an outside event then even an updated voicemail regarding that would've been helpful, even a disclaimer on his website or listings. I've moved on and about to rent elsewhere. Edit: Took this review down to one star. Don’t rent from this guy if you’re a couple he’ll ignore you until he fills the apartment.

We contacted Jon for renting out an apartment and told us there were 4 becoming available to rent. So we went to schedule a viewing where he didn't show. We tried contacting him for the next 3 weeks with no response. Then all of a sudden he got back to us that all the 4 places were rented. We postponed renting another place in hopes he would reply. Instead we lost out on all of his places and the one we postponed on. VERY DISSAPPOINTED.

Very pleased with my apartment I rented from Jon, clean nice renovated place.
