Out of all the student apartments me and my roommate toured in Gainesville, Lux 13 easily had the best leasing staff we experienced. Jesse and Cody were genuinely some of the most helpful people throughout the entire apartment search process. When we first came in for our tour, me, my roommate, my dad, and my sister were immediately greeted by both Jesse and Cody, and they were super friendly and welcoming right away. Since this is my first time moving out, I was honestly pretty nervous and didn’t really know what to expect, but they made the whole process feel way less stressful from the start. Jesse gave us the tour and was extremely informative while still making it exciting and fun. By the end of it, me and my roommate were already talking about how much we wanted to live there. I already knew a couple people, including my cousin, who lived at Lux 13 and had good experiences, but I still didn’t expect the leasing staff to be THIS helpful. Honestly, I was ready to sign before we even left lol. Even though we still had another tour scheduled for the next day just to compare options, we ended up canceling it because our experience at Lux 13 was already so much better than anywhere else we visited. Jesse and Cody helped us through literally every part of the process, from the application to the guarantor form to the lease itself, and made sure we were able to lock in the pricing and special before rates increased. Me and my roommate definitely overthink everything, so we probably texted and called them way more than necessary, but they were always patient, professional, and quick to respond. Anytime there was a technical issue or confusion about paperwork, they handled it immediately and made everything so much easier. The thing that stood out the most to me was that they actually stayed past closing to help us finish everything and make sure we got the rate and special we wanted. That honestly meant a lot and showed how much they cared. Jesse and Cody seriously made the experience amazing, and I can confidently say Lux 13 has the best leasing staff we came across in Gainesville. If you’re considering living there, I’d definitely recommend checking it out. Just walk through the leasing office doors and look to the right, and you’ll probably see exactly why me and my roommate ended up signing there. -Gabriel (future resident)

I've lived in a villa in Lux for going on 4 years now. It's a great little community to live in. The staff go above and beyond. Cooper in the office is phenomenal and incredibly helpful and knowledgeable with any questions that I can come up with, and Kevin in maintenance is the GOAT. I see Kevin every day, and he's always willing & eager to help with anything. This man would carry my groceries for me if he saw me unloading them. And as a resident that's been here for years, it's great seeing familiar friendly faces like theirs 😁 Great staff, great place!

I would not recommend this apartment complex unless you are moving in with people you already know and trust. My experience with the roommate placement situation has been extremely disappointing and stressful. I have had repeated issues with personal belongings being moved, used, or taken without my permission. In one situation, a roommate admitted by text that he used my laundry supplies without asking and only apologized after I noticed. I have also dealt with issues involving my dishes and other personal items being used or misplaced without permission. This has created a poor living environment where I do not feel comfortable or respected in my own apartment. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering this complex to be careful with random roommate placement and to document everything if problems come up.

My tour guide Daniel K. was very friendly and helpful. Answered all of my questions and gave a great tour! 10/10. The apartments are definitely worth checking out as well. Very nice!

Please never tour this place I’d you want your phone blown up. My friends and I have nonstop been getting calls from them and we told them we weren’t interested. The place smelled like weed and our tour guide had hickeys super visible on his neck. He wouldn’t leave us alone when we were touring and followed us room to room and constantly asked if we liked it and if we were excited to live here and it was just uncomfortable.
