NEVER MOVE INTO THE VERGE! Moving out is a pain. They try to charge you for every little thing. I spent 4 almost 5 hours cleaning my apartment moving out and making sure it was spotless for the next person who moves in and the guy doing my move out walk through charged me $65 even though the room was obviously clean. I even asked multiple people and they agreed with me. Even though, when we moved in the apartment was atrocious! Also maintenance was terrible to whole time I lived here. My apartment had leaks on the ceiling from our upstairs neighbors in 3 different locations and they did not do anything to fix it. They love to make their clubhouse look nice and leave the apartments looking worn out. When I moved in there was MOLD in the bathroom and all they did was paint over it! I will never ever recommend this apartment to anyone! I want my money back.

I moved my daughter in and in move-in day I personally reported a bee’s nest just outside their apartment. Shortly after move-in, the bees started getting into their apartment. One day they found 40 bees in the apartment. They told the office over and over and they never brought out a pest control company to fix it. Now, two months later, after not addressing the bee problem properly, they have to pack up and move to a different unit on the other side of the property in November (the high is 38 today). And to add to it, they just charged the girls a $250 transfer fee to move to the new unit. Do not recommend.

me and both my roommates dealt with a hornet infestation for over a month. it got to the point where we were seeing over 30 a day. It took the Verge over a month using different attempts to fix the problem when they should have just called a pest company out in the first place. We have been seeing them STILL and their final resolution was for us to move units. We’re working on moving and they still charged us a transfer fee despite the circumstances of our transfer. The Verge is a terrible complex and I would NOT recommend anyone live here.

If you love waking up to howling dogs and/or the occasional car/fire alarm, then this place is perfect.

I want to start by saying that I lived at The Verge for over 5 years. I had moved here in May of 2020 and lived here until the end of August of 2025. So I've seen the property change over time, had many roommates, seen the ups and downs, lived in 4 different apartments at The Verge. Overall it is a good place to live for students and those looking to save some money. Yes, this place is advertised as student housing but you don't have to be a student to live here as it is not affiliated with CWU. I was a student when I first moved in but I had graduated in June of 2023 and continued to live there. Pets are allowed which is awesome and you have in unit laundry and utilities are generally included (the lease can change year to year and one year electricity was a flat rate and you had to pay for any overages but recently it was all just one flat utility charge so it can change.) The maintenance staff are awesome. The property manager, Kathan, is great and understanding. The Verge is a good place to live if you're just starting out. The downside? If you don't specifically have people you know and trust lined up as roommates you are at risk of being placed with people you don't get along with or just can't function with. When I was a student it wasn't so bad but after graduating it became more and more difficult having roommates that were at a different stage in life and complete strangers living with me. A 25 year old working an 8-5 being roommates with two 20 year olds in college who want to have friends over at all hours of the night and don't respect your personal property in the common area can get a little bit tense. So bottom line, try to have roommates you know and trust. Total strangers who are younger than you is stressful. But this place is great as a starter apartment.
