La Casa Student Housing & Resource Center, chicago-il

Over the living space is nice. However 2 of the amenities that are on the site are not available anymore. There is no fitness center nor cable TV. The television doesn't have a remote and there are a few problems with the overall maintenance of the apartment. The couches are in poor condition so we used bed sheets to cover them to prevent further damage. The storage space in the kitchen only allows enough space for dishes for 10 people and the fridge is also not enough space for 10 people. The rent is not charged in a timely manner and there is no parking available to residents. Security is fairly understandable however the overnight policy is unnecessarily complicated. The laundry facilities are very convenient in that you can use quarters or an app. The rooms are simple and don't really allow for much remodeling and there is a very little closet space. The views are wonderful from the 6th floor. The location is overall very convenient with the pink line right next to it and many grocery stores around it.

I lived at La Casa over the course of a semester. The apartments are modern, and come with a dishwasher and a microwave. Furniture is nice. Work out facilities and laundromat is cool. Work out place is kinda weak though. only running stuff and a bowflex. Staff are friendly and help you out, and the security staff is also friendly.

If you want to be treated like you're a 5 year old while being an adult, this is the place for you! Be prepared for overcharging, lack of communication, and overwhelming guilt for trying to make your overpriced POS loft your own. Best!

Worst experience with worst staffs. The building was leaking while I stayed. They didn't replace the furniture. When I first visited the place, I spotted two rats on the fourth floor. They do not care about your needs. Very cheap service.
