Collegiate Village Apartments, buffalo-ny

I’ve lived at Collegiate Village for five years during my residency and fellowship, and it has been an outstanding experience. The staff, especially Gina, has always been incredibly kind, responsive, and professional. The gym and basketball court is amazing. Maintenance is quick, the property is well‑kept, and the community feels safe and supportive. The staff is exceptionally graciously and have been incredibly accommodating even during a busy transition, which we truly appreciated. CV has consistently gone above and beyond, and I highly recommend it to any student or medical trainee looking for a great place to live. Honestly, this is one of the best places I've ever lived at.

Wow! I’m not one to usually leave reviews, but I was so impressed. My daughter is going to college in Buffalo, and we came for a tour. Ashanti was spectacular! She took us to see all three different floor plans and was very patient while answering all of our questions. Her positive attitude was amazing, especially considering it was snowing. We even enjoyed a golf cart ride around the property, which made the experience even better. It was an incredible experience 10/10! She even recommended some great places for us to eat while we were in town.

Cars were broken into about once a week at this place. Management did very little about it. Security guards didn't care about keeping things safe. At one point a car drove through the security gate. The walls are very thin and poorly made. Residents will play loud music at all hours of the night even on weekdays and management does not care. The surrounding neighborhood is ghetto. Many people complained about the shuttle so if you rely on shuttle transportation this is not the place for you. Avoid this place if possible.

afternoon shuttle's been late since fall but we barely complained because the weather wasn't as extreme as it is right now. temperature drops to -18 celsius degrees at night recently and the driver ALWAYS keeps us waiting in the severe weather for nearly an hour. collegiate, you guys are aware that people could die because of this right? please. either hire more drivers or adjust the schedule. if the driver thinks she cannot make it on time or that she needs a break, PUSH THE SCHEDULE BACK. i'd rather get to the bus stop at 7:20, hop on the bus at 7:23 and get home at 7:45, than wait at the bus stop from 6:40 to 7:20 in the cold and get home at 7:45. the worst part is that we just stand there in complete DEVASTATION while seeing students from other accommodations come and go. they came half an hour later than us but still get home earlier. somebody might complete their whole night routine and come back and still see us standing there desperately. that is very embarrassing. this is not okay. please do better.

so blessed to get to live in such an amazing community!! the management really cares about its residents and they have so many fun events with so many giveaways and prizes and games!! the apartments themselves are worth the price and maintenance is always a call away and quick (although i try my best to not require them; other than laundry i never really needed to), the only thing is that there is a fee for lockouts and the doors lock automatically but honestly this is not an issue as long as i am conscious before leaving the apartment to always check that i have my keys, which is also a great way for me to never leave my apartment with a hurried or cluttered mind :)
