The Vista Apartments, boise-id

DO NOT LIVE HERE! My roommates and I had a less than 24 hour notice that someone was moving in. The maintenance guys showed up to our apartment un announced (a HUGE safety concern for an all-girl apartment. I lost my parking pass and called for two days (no response), once I got a hold of someone they told me they needed to verify it that I lost it (I already searched for 3 days) and then when I got off the phone (10 minutes after the call) they put a huge annoying warning sticker on my car which they advised me to use my fingers nails to dig off. I asked if they were able to look at my license plate to make sure I received no warnings and she said they were able to do that. Lazy staff in my opinion. On the rent payment there are undisclosed fees. The customer service is HORRIBLE here. They are never in office, they don't return phone calls and when they did (the one time) I asked them not to call me because I was at work and told them the proper time they could but they said they'll text me and they never did and called me at work instead (after they said they wouldn't). I've written 2 complaints on their website asking my questions be addressed, but have yet to hear back. I commented on their page on Instagram asking them to respond to me but was blocked. The Vista West lacks accountability, communication and decency.

Honestly this place is decent. But has some MAJOR problems. I’ve lived here for two years with my roommate, and in that time they have gone through 6 managers, with the most recent and most competent leaving. The staff can be helpful, but frequently lost my packages when I first started moving in my whole first year. They also are extremely bad at communication and maintenance. When I switched room types for my second year, we moved into a unit that had severe damages and scratches and was apparent a dog was there. The couch was torn and had hair everywhere, the blinds were chewed to shreds, and the floor had major sink points in it. It took maintenance 7 months to finally get around to fixing the blinds after months of telling me they would be done. The couch was also never replaced. The Hot tub is frequently broken, the pool table is always broken, and the one of two of the elevators are ALWAYS broken. I’ve waited for up to 5 minutes for the elevator. Parking is a whole other issue, for two years the staff were so neglectful of parking they over sold it two years in a row, leading to me paying for parking they couldn’t guarantee. The gate into the garage is also always broken and needing to be repaired. The cleanliness of the halls has been improved since I have lived there, and they went through and repainted the halls which is nice, but besides the rooms being decently spacious, the place is terribly ran and is constantly breaking. The location is probably the best part about it. Overall it’s a decent area but not somewhere I would move into again or would recommend to others.

I have been nervous, as I am dropping my daughter off for college. I wanted to give a shout out to Eric the manager of the Vista apartments. He is very kind and took the time to address my concerns. He was so personable! Also a shout out to Roman who helped us with several things today. As a mom, I feel good about leaving my daughter with these people. Warm, thanks!

Loved my tour at Vista! The workers were so so nice and their amenities were amazing! We even got a free gift at the end!!

Honestly, move in was a bit hectic but that isn't the fault of any of the staff or attendants. I've only been here a little longer than a week but my experience has been stellar. The premise is clean and really nice. Parking hasn't been an issue past move-in day and the staff have been infinitely helpful. What makes it 5 stars is how personable the staff are. I signed up for a tour prior to leasing and my tour guide Katherine was amazing and my family and I felt comfortable to ask questions and get to know the apartment. During the move-in process when she noticed I was pretty anxious in the new area she gave me recommendations for places to get food and visit. She and the staff here made me feel at home and like a part of the community in just one week. Highly recommend :))
