The Foundry, leeds

Good rooms and good maintenance, stuff handled fast. Good quiet accomodation. On floor eight and never had to deal with any noise from parties or stuff on my floor, perfect for me and people wanting a quiet uni life Booked to stay another year and hoping for another quiet year. Some issues dealing with new ownership of the building which might impact my decision on staying for third year.

The foundry is a very good accommodation - - spacious rooms with lots of storage, large modern kitchens with a TV, helpful and friendly staff and security. I have stayed here for 2 years and would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere close to university and town to stay, also walkable distance to aldi/asda supermarket! :)

Found a great flat for my daughter's first year at uni. Cheaper than the allocated residences too but still with all the facilities. Very clean, well maintained, friendly staff, fast WiFi and very secure door locks/CCTV etc. Highly recommended

My family and I had the worst experience of our lives because of the staff at this accommodation. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. They made us pay rent for a room for the year, even though I explained that I couldn't move in because I did receive my student visa on time and I could not return to the uk. If they were understanding, they would understand that this was a complicated situation and would accept my request to cancel the contract. Instead, I had to pay every month an amount that significantly affected me and my family. Unfortunately, they never even tried to simply say "the contract will be cancelled." They simply argued the matter and let it go. They are people with no common sense, only concerned with money and nothing else. I don't recommend this accommodation to anyone. To this day, I am very sad about this whole situation. This was the worst experience of my life, having paid such a high amount every month for a room I never used, for facilities I only saw once in my life, when I visited the accommodation for the first time before renting it. Worst experience of my life. I'd advise you to think twice before go ahead.

The Foundry is an exceptional commendation, only a 15-minute walk from the University of Leeds and 20 minutes to the city centre; the Foundry has many facilities for residents, including a free gym, study spaces, communal lounge area and cinema room. Rooms are cleaned and well maintained. Excellent 24/7 security and maintenance issues are solved in a timely manner. I would recommend the Foundry for anyone coming to Leeds for the first time and returning students! :)
