Yugo Anglia House, cambridge

I came from Anastasia House and have stayed in Yugo House for 2 years. And I can say that in my experience it was the best choice in terms of accommodation I have made. While the price isn't exactly easily managable, I'd say that the service they offer and conditions of rooms and communal spaces alone are pretty much worth it. We've had multiple issues in Anastasia House that could take months to be taken care of or even addressed, but here in Yugo House staff responded fast and solved any issues withing a short period of time and very efficiently. While some of the repairs could be done better, overall they'd done a great job. They address complaints quickly and take action immediately, ensuring your stay within the halls is as comfortable as possible. The staff at the front desk have always been welcoming and happy to help. Some of them even went an extra mile to provide a great service and make you feel seen and cared for. I'm glad I had an opportunity to live in Yugo House for two years, and to be fair I'd probably stay longer if I could.

i’ve lived here for the entirety of my degree and couldn’t of chosen a better accommodation if i tried! the rooms are a perfect size with plenty of storage, staff are so lovely and always willing to help, and there’s good facilities available too. The location is a massive perk too as main campus is a 10 minute walk and there’s 4 supermarkets all within a 5 minute walking distance. fab fab fab place :)

I stayed at this student accommodation for three years and honestly wouldn’t have changed anything. The rooms are spacious and well laid out, and the en-suite bathrooms are very good. The staff are lovely and there is always someone available 24/7 if any problems arise, which made living there feel safe.

Writing this review on behalf of my close friend who is still struggling to pay his rent here which is expensive. this particular Accomodation team will play with a student life like a game of cards, they make students feel like kings before getting into their accommodation but make you feel like a joker after entering into “their dynasty”. One of my friends who had just came in to this country starting to live alone and felt homesick and called over his family member (brother) to stay with him for a few nights and then when the brother was staying inside his room when my friend was at uni, So called Manager or the lead staff (Lady) / investigators came in to check if someone else stayed here and this was because my friends sister had ordered a sim online under her name and this was the reason for them to enter his room to inspect which seemed silly to the core, I mean which brother/sister in this world doesn’t have the right to order under their names to their friends/families addresses? They asked the brother as to how long he stayed here, he replied saying a few nights and then without giving proper notice asked him to get out of the room and go out which seemed rude and also my friend has experienced a very low treatment from the staff (not all) who stared at him like he is a criminal and taunting stared about what happened to him, now when he felt not safe in this place and also because it was expensive and he couldn’t afford he then politely asked them that he isn’t able to afford to pay for his instalments in future, they’ve asked him to give them a replacement and move out, he then searched and found a replacement who is a student from another uni, but when this was told to the accommodation team, they then have informed to him saying that it has to be only the same uni students and not any other ones which he felt very sad again, I can clearly understand the contract rules but when something is being told to someone, it has to precisely said to them so that they can plan accordingly and now he is stuck in this hell to pay around £4k for his next instalment, all we are asking was any other option/ accept the student replacement that we bought which they did not and refused to give us options/ said there was no other way.
