Good apartment for a college student. Rent is good for considering how much is included in the apartment: furnished bedroom + own bathroom, in unit dryer/washer, and furnished kitchen. But I’ve had many grievances living here. Paying an additional 100 a month for parking is steep for considering how often the parking garage doors are broken. They have been broken for over 2 months and attempted* to fix them several times but still fail to do so. I’ve had a man follow me inside because they decided to leave the door open because it was broken. The situation was fine but in the end it’s annoying to have this be an ongoing issue. It’s frustrating to have the expectation of getting “used” to the broken door and still be expected pay full price for something that doesn’t operate as expected. Additionally the 1/2 elevators are broken (not a big deal but it adds up). Lastly, things constantly get broken in unit. Maintenance responds quickly but our AC unit has been broken multiple times. It has reached high 70s to even 80s in our apartment during warmer weather which makes it uncomfortable to even sit around. Lastly, when it comes to paying rent, HQ has changed management and when you pay rent you are charged a fee regardless if you pay via credit card or wire transfer. I still choose to live here because no apartment complex is going to be 100% and it’s still an ok apartment for college student. It has a lot of great amenities and fully furnished which is awesome, but don’t get your expectations high and be prepared for some grievances. Last note: management /maintenance are pretty timely to your responses but overall awful at repairs.

I really enjoyed my time here at highland! The only reason I didn’t sign another lease was because I graduated and moved out of terre haute. I loved that each room had their own bathroom, the fact that it came fully furnished, and had a full kitchen! The parking garage was wonderful in the winter and summer time and I loved that I had a set spot every time I came in. The set up they had for packages was awesome and I enjoyed using the gym! They responded to maintenance requests in a timely manner and I would honestly say I have no complaints! I loved how close it was to campus and I felt safe there!

Highland Quarters does not get the recognition it deserves. I have been living at Highland for about 3 years now and I have no complaints. Staff is friendly, maintenance is punctual, and the resident events are always fun. They even do monthly resident check ins to make sure we’re not having any issues, if we have any they come back and fix it. My roommate overstuffed the washing machine and broke the belt, Adam came and fixed it same day. My experience is great and I will be renewing my lease for the 3rd year!

Highland Quarters is a really great place to live. Pretty great rates, nice living spaces, and great staff. They host cool events and recently added a nice coffee bar. Definitely reccomend to ISU students

During my time living here I experienced several different issues. Not only do they charge you with fees without investigations on things like lease violations or noise complaints, the staff is CONSTANTLY changing. The manager has taken advantage of his position, and hardly is there to speak with any of the tenants. Parking in garages close to the building is less expensive than the garage they have. The front door regularly breaks and causes tenants to have to enter through the garage. There are hidden fees in the lease so make sure you reread through it like 5 times. Living here has been a nightmare, and I cannot wait to move.
