I had a terrible experience living here, especially as a first-time renter. I was really excited to move into my first apartment, but it ended up being one problem after another. The apartment was not in the condition that was promised. There was mold present, which was a major health concern, and several amenities and features that were listed in our lease either weren’t provided or weren’t functional when we moved in. It was frustrating to pay for something that didn’t match what we were promised. On top of that, getting my security deposit back was another disappointing experience. It felt like they were looking for reasons to keep as much of it as possible. I made sure to thoroughly clean my room before moving out in fact, I left it in better condition than when I moved in yet I still had to deal with unnecessary deductions. Overall, this was a stressful and disappointing first apartment experience. I wouldn’t recommend this property based on how maintenance issues, lease expectations, and move-out charges were handled. I hope future tenants have a better experience than I did.

Campus Village is close to SVSU classes. Aside from this. It was not a good experience for my student. During move-in there was a lot of mold discovered in a utility closet. Management did a surface cleaning. The locks on the front door were broken. It took a week to fix this. My daughter had to leave a doorway unlocked for entry during this time. Units lack proper noise suppression from neighbors above. All of this. And they kept most of my deposit for paint that was not damaged. I do not recommend these units.

I’ve lived in Campus Village for two years now in an updated 4 bed 4 bath, they are very nice! Appliances run well and maintenance is quick to fix things when asked. Have had trouble with loudness of neighbors at times. Prices are fair and affordable for people in college and they make it easy to pay rent on time. Overall, I think it’s the best place to stay if you’re going to SVSU or anywhere close.

It’s a convenient place to live, and maintenance is usually pretty quick to fix things. However, I think you pay for convenience. I haven’t felt unsafe living here, however, I think something they could improve on is having guests park in the middle lot by the office because otherwise people who actually live to pay there are having to park in a different lot due to limited spots. As for maintenance, there has been many times where our doors were left unlocked and most of the lights left on, and nobody would be there for days until they’re shut off, increasing our electrical bill. I’ve been having to leave a comment for maintenance when putting in maintenance request to turn off and lock the door when they leave.

I've been living at Campus Village for two years and am very satisfied with it. When I put a maintenance request the maintenance team usually has it fixed within a day or two. They're always quick to respond and fix any issues efficiently. I also appreciate the giveaways for different holidays and the rent is cheaper than other apartment complexes around.
