Anthony showed us around the apartments and was available to answer any questions we had! Very professional and welcoming, you can really tell he cares about his job and creating a community within the building! Ended up signing a lease elsewhere, but would recommend reaching out if interested in the property and getting a tour.

Anthony gave us a tour of the house of one of the 2 bedrooms. He was very helpful and nice. He showed us around and explained everything in details. We didn’t end up signing up the lease.

Anthony always welcoming and willing to help, no matter how big or small the request is. Maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner, and the workers are always polite and professional. It’s nice to feel comfortable reaching out and knowing things will get taken care of!

- Elevator broken for over a year: I live on the 4th floor, move-in day was a nightmare, and it’s been that way ever since. - No lease flexibility: students, this place only offers 12-month leases. If you’re not staying for the summer, you’re paying the same annual cost as somewhere nicer that offers 10-month options. - Zero collaboration from management: My lease ends July 31st, new place starts August 1st. Asked for one extra day, getting denied, with a threat of being charged an entire additional month.

TLDR - Deteriorating conditions, absent management, and rising rent prices. While relatively cheap, it’s not worth your peace of mind and the many frustrations. Choose someone else to rent from. I have been a resident of Howe Place for the last three years and while I used to always recommend people rent here, I cannot do that anymore. When I first moved in there were at least 3 maintenance workers on site while now there’s only one person who has to do pretty much everything for all units. It leads to a situation where it is impossible to fulfill the needs of so many residents due to it being so severely understaffed. Here are some of the many issues I’ve had over the years: - I have lived in two different units and both of them had mold issues. The bathrooms have no filtration system. Mold is a constant you have to live with. - I have gotten MULTIPLE splinters from the wooden floors inside my unit. Imagine not being able to walk around the apartment you pay thousands of dollars for every year without the fear of being hurt. - While they are now installing a new elevator, it took YEARS for that to happen. Even though residents had been begging for it since the old elevator kept breaking down. I literally had to call 911 to get someone out of the elevator because there was no one else on site to help. Again, this is not the fault of maintenance workers but of the upper management who have completely abandoned this unit. - The most recent issue came from this last Sunday’s snow storm. There was around 14 inches on snow. The surrounding apartment complexes cleared the snow from their parking lots by Monday (at the latest). It is currently Friday, and the parking lot has YET to be cleared. It’s been left up to the residents and the one maintenance person to clear up more than a feet of snow all by themselves. I scratched my car yesterday trying to park due to the terrible conditions. I’m literally unable to park in the parking spot I pay hundreds of dollars every month for. It is clear to me that upper management do not care for its residents or even its own employees (as they keep churning out new property managers and maintenance staff every 6 months - year). I wholeheartedly recommend anyone to not lease from Howe Place Apartments for your peace of mind.
