Glad to count myself as a FORMER resident of this disaster complex. DO NOT RENT APT A11! The place seemed great and at a good price at first, but there quickly became issues. Prepare for a sampling of headaches that have the added benefit of also hitting your wallet hard! Cliff notes version here if you don’t want to read the whole thing: maintenance requests will get ignored, they do not replace equipment that is their contractual obligation to replace or repair, they will enter your apartment with no warning when you are not home, sometimes they don’t bother calling for the dumpster to be emptied so the parking lot will be stacked with garbage, one set of doors to each building has no keypad on it so it has to stay unlocked and that means anyone can get into your building at any time, they don’t cooperate with police investigations of crimes/car theft or vandalism that takes place in their parking lot, the front door to building A is always broken open because they cheap out at all opportunity, if your HVAC breaks you will have to live there with no heat and no AC or else get portable units that run up your electric bill and make that cheap rent no so cheap anymore. 1. It will take them forever to complete maintenance requests (if they complete them at all). The former tenant destroyed the fan blade in the dishwasher, so I put in maintenance requests repeatedly to try and get it fixed, but the shady property manager marked every maintenance request as “completed” so that the request was never seen by the maintenance head so that it could get fixed. The damaged fan eventually welded itself to the heat conductor at the back of the dishwasher; a problem that would have easily been solved if they had just done the maintenance request in the first place. I put in another maintenance request, in mid December, stating the new damage that had occurred. Property manager marked it completed again. FIVE MONTHS LATER I get a call from the maintenance head and he asked if they had been taken care of it. I told him no. He finally got us a replacement dishwasher from one of the unused apartments. 2. Then my car had its tires and rims stolen in the apartment parking lot and when the police began contacting the manager for footage of the parking lot, she spent that entire investigation time ignoring or avoiding their calls for camera footage of the parking lot. So be aware that your car may be vandalized and the complex will not cooperate with any investigation. 3. Then July and August hit. We hadn’t really noticed anything wrong with the air conditioning because it had been cool enough, but before we knew it, our apartment was hitting the high 80s and 90s. We tried everything to figure out why it wasn’t kicking on. Maintenance request after maintenance request got ignored. The only thing that got the new property manager’s attention was withholding rent. It was in the contract that the owner of the property was responsible for maintaining and replacing these HVAC units. First contractor took one look at the HVAC and said the whole thing was aged out and needed replacing. Two more contractors said the same thing. They did not attempt to fix the HVAC. They instead entered the property without any notice or permission and installed portable units. The three portable units also drove our electric bill up to $400 a month, so again, rent looks cheap but you will be eating a bunch of costs from their negligence for the property. The person who installed them decided to drill the window vent into the frame of the windows, which cracked my bedroom window in half. I sent a picture of the cracked window to the complex manager and all he had as a response was “so how’s the air conditioner working?” They did not make any attempt to fix the window. Instead they just told us to get out. Notice of Quit on our door. We got out, told them we left the keys in the apartment, found actual people to rent from instead of a big soulless investment firm in NY, and are so much happier now. Trust me, this place isn’t worth it.

My stay at the Bleu has been pretty good so far. I moved into my apartment about 5 months ago with new flooring and a new refrigerator. There have been some random maintenance issues here and there but they were taken care of. The office staff is extremely nice and helpful when I've talked with them. If we can get more upkeep on the hallways and outside of the building that would be cool. No other complaints really.

I have lived in A11 for the last year I had NO A/C for the entire time but are lease comes with A/C!!!!! The maintenance guy came and fixed it at least 7-8 times and each time of it being fixed it would stay on for a few days to a few hours depending each time!!! I ended up buying a portable A/C which cost me $300! And they came have $75 back even though I shouldn’t have even had to buy an A/C bc it’s supplied i my lease!!! They kept sayings it’s part that’s needs to fix and every time I asked when the part would come in they gave me a different day and week saying it’s on “delay and back up” all lies bc even another review from A10 said they said the same thing to them and I guess had the same issues for 2-3 years! And I have a water leak they fixed and broke again not surprised!!! My carpet on my main bedroom and couldn’t really ever use it bc mold! And then I saw a rat and my apartment was always clean contacted them and they said to put a maintenance request in NEVER got back to me about it like always unless I blew up like the A/C

Just got new management with Greyhill and it has been horrible. Management is nearly unreachable. Would call their office several times a day and no answer. Our central air hasn’t been working for MONTHS, which is practically the whole summer. They keep telling us they will have HVAC to fix it and keep lying to us saying they will come next week. Our unit has been hot everyday and only have a box fan. The only good thing is our maintenance guy who is always communicating with us whenever we have a leaking issue or any maintenance issues. Other than that though management has been unreachable and doesn’t communicate with us. Very unacceptable. Do not even bother trying to live here. UPDATE 7/1/24: It’s been over TWO years and our central AC is still not fixed. Our unit on hot days can reach up to mid 80s, they finally gave us a portable AC this June. But whomever is going to live in A8 just beware the central AC is not fixed. We have had a whole run around about a so called “part” that suppose to come in order for it to get fixed, to it being a $3,000 to $4,000 job to get it fixed, to us getting another central AC from another unit. It’s been 2 years and still no solution which is very aggravating given that it’s in our contract to have central AC. Not to mention the owner Zach is horrible at communicating or even reaching him. I literally sent him the same text three times in the span of a week, even tried calling, and still haven’t gotten a reply. This is the issue when the owners own the complex and they’re out of state. Very aggravated and annoyed that we receive little to no communication. If I can warn anybody about this place, do not live here unless you want a hot unit during the summer and get no response from management. And hear this: they tried to give me a $40 credit if i took down my last review. LOL, talk about a slap in the face.

I love living at The Bleu! It’s so close to all my classes at CCSU, I can walk to all of them without having to walk. The apartments are so nice and we have an in unit washer and dryer, and a dishwasher! Candyce is absolutely lovely, she’s the best landlord ever. I looked at all the apartments in the area and this was really the best one around
