Update: The new housing management team does try their best and rhe maintenance man is a very nice person. Yes there are still issues with the apartment. They are being worked on but still ongoing. Original Review: My daughter is in her 3rd year at McNeese and 2nd year living at the apartments on campus. Housing maintenance is not really good at fixing anything. The door frame to their bathroom was broken when they moved in last year, but they never actually fixed it, just patched it and it did not hold. This past year there was an issue with a roommate that continously had people over into the night, partying and the RA did not really do anything until nearly the end of the spring semester to address the issue. The cheapest meal plan required is a rip off for a plan used only maybe 20 times over each semester considering that the cafeteria has served her food not cooked all the way and has flat out refused to make a custom order even though they are supposed to. Yes we called and filed a complaint but they did nothing. McNeese will take your money and provide subpar services. Note: this is my review on what we are having to pay for in order for her to live on campus and it is a rip-off.

While living on campus is very convenient for class, it has been a nightmare in my experience. The people in control of housing are rude, not helpful or understanding, and never get anything done in a timely manner. The only person who was ever helpful with anything is Travis. The maintenance people are very nice and helpful when housing allows them to come fix the problems. My roommate had an infestation of love bugs in her room due to a hole somewhere, and housing response was “there not toxic” and did nothing. There has been countless situations that have not been handled properly or in a timely manner. For example, my unit flooded a couple of days ago from workers bursting a pipe above us and little to nothing had been done about the damages. Living on campus is not worth the headache, stress, or money (because it’s not cheap). My roommates and I also had a problem with one of the girls living with us, and nothing was done until the end of the next semester.

The Hoffpauir Company has a very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating office staff. Drew personally checks on maintenance requests that are not filled in a timely manner and replaced a broken bed within a day. Given the initial experience we've had with this new MSU housing provider, we have no doubt facilities will be continuously improved and that the quality service will continue.

McNeese student housing is so amazing their office staff is wonderful the RA are great too. It’s so good to live on campus because you’re less than 15 minutes away from your classes no matter where you live when on campus. I have lived on campus for three years now and I feel that living on campus has made my experience at McNeese so much better. Living on campus opens up a lot more opportunities to get involved in college

I have been a student at McNeese State University for about a year now and have resided at the university as well. The immaculate service that I have experienced is largely in part due to Jeremiah. During any issues, he ensures that he is available to help with a smile on his face. He goes above and beyond to make sure that tenants are safe and most importantly are happy. I am super appreciative to have his support and help 24/7. Jeremiah, if you see this, don’t drop this king👑
