I chose this complex expecting a safe, student-oriented living environment, especially after specifically requesting an all-female unit during the application process. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. One of my assigned roommates allowed her boyfriend to stay in the unit long-term, effectively residing there despite the nature of the housing. This was not what I agreed to when signing my lease. Multiple complaints were raised and ignored regarding this situation, as it created an uncomfortable and unsafe living environment. Those concerns were consistently ignored and not properly addressed by management. The situation escalated to the point where I was physically assaulted by this individual while he was in the unit. A student living complex should prioritize resident safety and enforce its own policies regarding unauthorized occupants. In this case, there was a clear failure to do so. The lack of intervention allowed an unsafe situation to continue and ultimately led to serious harm. As a result, I no longer felt safe remaining in the unit and had to make alternative living arrangements. I would strongly advise anyone considering living here to carefully evaluate whether this complex enforces its policies and takes resident safety concerns seriously. (some pictures attached)

Only enough parking for each resident, so hope you don’t have any friends, because the 2 visitor spaces will always be full. Unless of course they park at the Home Depot and walk over, which is a risk in itself. That’s the least of the problems with this place. Our AC went out multiple times in the 2 years we lived here, for several months at a time. During these times we put in multiple maintenance requests which would get marked as done, and it would still be 80+ in our house. In the summer. In Georgia. For months at a time. The last time it happened they looked at the thermostats, told us it wasn’t actually broken, gave us the standard run around for an entire month before getting fed up and just replacing the whole unit which worked for a grand total of 1 single day. After another month of checking seemingly random things it comes out that the air filter was completely blocked. Like never changed completely blocked. So 2 months and an unnecessary replacement for a 5 minute 5 dollar fix. That’s the kind of competence you’re moving into. Office has hours but those are just suggestions, the odds of someone being in the office at any given time are near 0. The only time I’ve actually seen someone in the office was move in day, outside of that you have a better chance of seeing Jesus than that office staffed. The final blow is move out, where you get charged a cleaning fee, then they take random pictures with no identifiable issues and label them as “issues” and then try and charge another cleaning fee. I guess the assumption is by adding the cleaning fee to the last months rent most people won’t notice and will just pay the last one they charge. In closing, they will attempt to suck every single dollar out of you for subpar at best housing, and if your even a second late on rent they’ll talk eviction, while in the same breath taking months at a time to fix maintenance issues. I wouldn’t live there again, and if I were you I’d pass on it too

Was a great place when it was known as the Haven, but after the change to "The Collective" things went downhill. Constant maintenance issues that would take FOREVER to get resolved. Our AC was out for weeks and they kept claiming it was "fixed" even though it was a constant 88 in our place. Anytime I dealt with the property manager she would just talk to us like we knew absolutely nothing. It took me calling the corporate office for them to finally get an outside contractor to fix our AC. The manager is allergic to working and just looked absolutely annoyed anytime I interrupted her nothing. I was also charged massive amounts of extra fees at the end of my lease just to try to get a little extra out of me. I would gladly pay whatever to not deal with this place ever again though. Also just go ahead and expect to not get your security deposit back.

My daughter lived at the Haven for 2 years. The Haven was a wonderful place for her to live while attending KSU. Nicole was excellent to work with. She was always helpful and promptly returned any of my calls or emails. The Haven was very safe and I felt very comfortable with my daughter staying there. One big benefit is they get parking spots right in front of their cottage which is so nice. There is no worry about them using a parking garage and walking a long ways like some of the other complexes in Kennesaw. There was always regular maintenance, pest control, etc... We have no complaints. Thank you Nicole and staff for a great 2 years.

i’ve lived here for the past year and i always recommend this place to everyone as the only good student apartments in kennesaw!! i’ve genuinely had no issues living here so far and it’s a great place to live. my favorite thing about this place and the reason i decided to move here was the fact that these were the only unfurnished student apartments in kennesaw, so i planned on living here until i graduate and collecting furniture until then!! however the new management has decided to furnish all the apartments and now i have no choice but to move out after the next leasing term ends. i thought the unfurnished thing was really nice as it made the place truly feel like a home and we weren’t stuck with dorm furniture. that’s the only reason this is four stars, other than that it’s been a wonderful experience and i recommend these apartments ^__^
