I had a great experience living at the Tahitian Apartments this past year. The $500 deposit is much cheaper than many surrounding communities, which made moving in a lot easier. The community is clean and well managed, and the on-site maintenance team is very responsive whenever something needs to be fixed. It’s been a great place to live and I would definitely recommend Tahitian Apartments to other students.

I lived at the Tahitian Apartments with my roommate for a year, and it was a really great experience. The location is super convenient and very close to campus, which made daily life much easier. The apartment also came furnished, so we didn’t need to buy furniture, which saved us a lot of time and money when moving in. Most importantly, Ian, our property manager, has been incredibly helpful. Whenever we had any issues with our unit, he was always quick to respond and helped find a solution for us. It made living here feel very comfortable and well managed. As I’m about to graduate, I just want to say thank you to this little apartment that I called home for the past year. It holds so many great memories for me and my roommate, and I’ll always remember my time here fondly.

Disturbing & Discriminatory Experience – Beware of Tahitian Apartments (Ventura Investments) Our experience with Tahitian Apartments has been beyond unacceptable, and I feel compelled to share this disturbing situation with warning others. We received an electronic approval letter and text confirmations on September 14th showing our application was approved. Our deposit went from $2500 down to $500. Based on those approvals, we gave notice at our current home (Arrive Los Carneros) to move into Tahitian Apartments in good faith. However, on September 25th, just 5 days before our move-out date—they suddenly informed us that we were denied after “reviewing” the screening. This is not just inconvenient, it is reckless and discriminatory behavior from Ventura Investments and their property manager, Jacqueline. Their actions have left us scrambling for housing with nowhere to go, all while I am recovering from knee surgery. The timing and handling of this denial has caused tremendous stress, emotional strain, and financial harm. To receive written approval, plan a move, and then be blindsided with a denial so close to move-out is disturbing, unprofessional, and inhumane. This conduct demonstrates a complete disregard for fair housing practices. We are now left displaced and forced to scramble for a home, and as a result, we will be filing a Fair Housing claim against Ventura Investments, Tahitian Apartments, and Jacqueline (the property manager). Prospective renters: beware. If this happened to us, it could happen to you.

Completely unsanitary living conditions. The mold problem was so bad that an actual mushroom grew out of the bathroom ceiling. When I moved out, I discovered that my bed frame was completely covered in mold. It’s dangerous to health, I’m shocked they haven’t been shut down by a health department yet. For context, I keep a very clean home, so this was in no way tied to my cleaning habits.

Great location on El Colegio with close proximity to a bus stop. Our experience with the apartment was a good one. We had this apartment for 4 years. We have seen multiple tenant managers during this time. The current management under the able leadership of Dustyn Peiffer is excellent. They have all been very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend The Tahitian.
