The outpost is wonderful! My housing situation was horrible before this place, and in comparison i have little to no complaints. Maintenance is always quick and on top of issues, it never takes more than a few days to get something fixed or changed; typically 1-2 days. Roommate selection process was great too, I didn’t know my roommates but were super close now. My kitty also loves it here, pet fee is pretty standard at 35 a month. The leasing team is also fantastic, I have to switch to a cheaper unit and they’ve been so helpful with that whole process. Only real complaints I have are more about the residents lol, which ofc is unfortunate but also uncontrollable. Everyone’s very nice and friendly, they just suck at treating the pool like a privilege and not their personal trashcan. My experience at the outpost has been 8/10.

I do not recommend living here. They started off my lease period by almost leaving me stranded and going back on their word about my move-in date, only fixing it after they pulled up the recordings. They just keep trying to find ways to fine you. They never respect entry requests (I have a dog; I requested to be notified a few minutes before they barge in). When I say "barging in," they knock once and enter for maintenance and inspection days, which freaks my roommates and me out. If you don't want privacy and a team looking to take your money, you have found the right place.

Do not live here!!! They left me in a unit that was not suitable to live in for months because they ignored my many attempts to have the other tenants unauthorized dog taken care of. They never did anything about it despite the entire house smelling of dog pee and feces to a level that made us sick and it took months for the outpost to replace even part of the carpet. There were pieces of the house missing because the dog chewed them off and despite me sending evidence of the dog creating this damage, the outpost failed to take care of the damage and charge the owner of the dog. Instead they charged me and my other roommate over $1,000 in damages and refused to take accountability for their failure to follow their procedure with unauthorized pets and ensuring that tenants aren’t leaving roommates in a unit that makes them sick. I talked to Brandon Verret several times about this issue and he said he would charge her for the unauthorized dog the way the lease says and do an inspection but neither happened. When I was charged for the damage cause by a previous tenant (with evidence) I disputed it and they essentially ignored me so that it was sent to collections. The amenities also never work and the staff enter units without notifying. Terrible experience and terrible staff. It was the worst part of my college experience. Expensive housing that’s far from everything with broken amenities and neglectful scammy staff.

Living at The Outpost Fort Collins has honestly been an amazing experience. From day one, the atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed, with a great sense of community that really captures the Fort Collins vibe. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and quick to respond whenever something comes up, and maintenance is efficient and professional. The amenities are a huge plus the gym is clean and well-equipped, the clubhouse is perfect for studying or spending time with friends, and the pool area feels like a resort. The apartments themselves are modern, spacious, and well laid out, with plenty of natural light and quality appliances that make it feel like a true home. The location is also hard to beat, with easy access to campus, outdoor trails, and all the best spots around town. Whether you’re a student or a young professional, The Outpost offers the perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and lifestyle. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place that feels both like home and a community.

This is ridiculous. I’ve lived here for a year now and the pool is never open. They closed early last season, the hot tub has never once been available, and this season they took forever to open the pool after advertising an “early opening” that never actually happened. Then as soon as it finally opened, they locked it up again. Don’t advertise yourselves as student housing if you can’t even provide the amenities students are paying for. The pool itself is lovely — too bad residents never actually get to use it. Thinking about renewing here? Don’t. They suck.
